What a fun day I had ....IN THE HOSPITAL! Ughh!
Boys r us wrote: At my dr apt today, my blood pressure was through the roof...I was so dizzy I could barely see or stand...so they admitted me to the hospital for observation. They wouldn't even let my DH walk me over to the hospital which is just through a breezeway from the ob office. Anyhow...I have gestational hypertension.
By the time I left the hospital my bp was down a considerable amount ..down to 137/65 (it's normally around 110/55) which was good compared to the bp I was admitted with of 163/96!
Anyhow..the doctor says I'm out of work for at least 8 days and then we'll decide next week after careful monitoring whether my leave needs to be extended...so i guess part of my wish came true..I got out of work..lol!
Oh ...all of my bloodwork came back ok from the lab when they tested for toxemia!
They did blow my vein up in my hand trying to start an IV..omg..it hurts SO badly..I have a knot that sticks up 3 inches off of my hand from where the fluid blew my vein up. Nto sure what happened there!
It's after 9pm and I just got home..it's been a very long day of being poked and prodded!

MomToJade&Jordan replied: I was about 33 weeks pg with Jordan when I was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia. I was on modified bedrest for the rest of my pregnancy. I hope that everything settles down for you. Just take it easy and put your feet up hun.
