We told the kids!
Elle wrote: Yesterday just before dinner we decided to tell the kids about the babies on the way. We didn't want to make a big deal about it, so I just took the sonogram pics from my purse (I had them hidden there *lol*) and told them: 'Look, these are your brother and sister. They'll be here in a few months'. The first one to talk was Juliet, of course. She said to Alex and Bry: 'See? I told you mom looks fat!' Nathan asked her whether that meant she was happy with the news or not, and she said she was happy. That's great, I was kinda worried about her... Because when Brighton was born she didn't like him at all... Brighton at first didn't understand much, until Alexis explained him that 2 babies were going to live with us. He's crazy about babies, so he found it really great. But I guess we'll know for sure if he's happy or not when the twins are finally here. And Alexis was more than thrilled, I didn't expect less from her She loves being a big sister, and she had told me once that she'd like to have more siblings if they were "as awesome as Jules and Bry", and I promised her they would be. So I was afraid for no reason! Last night the kids started making plans of who would share the room with whom (because in this house there aren't enough rooms for everyone to have their own), and what colour to paint the walls, and they asked if they could help to pick the cribs and other baby stuff. Ohhh I'm so relieved right now!

and LOL about the "fat" comment! Jacob told me that all the time
maestra replied: I'm glad that it went so well! I actually made that fat comment to my mom when she told me she was preg. with my youngest brother. I was 10.5 at the time, and had already figured it out. She gave me a lot more credit after that!
coasterqueen replied: Aww glad it went well! LOL on the comment from the kids. They sure do speak their minds don't they? LOL.
Elle replied: I know... And Juliet still doesn't make a difference between "appropriate" and "inappropriate" comments... She makes those comments all the time, it's so funny And so embarrassing sometimes!
CantWait replied: Great News. I'm glad the news went over well
Mom2Boyz replied: That's GREAT!! Glad they are looking forward to having a new brother & sister.
jem0622 replied: That's great! I won't be sharing it with the kids until much further along. Nathan asked too many questions for too long after my miscarriage. I did pick up a bunk bed set (wood) for $5 at a church yard sale so I'm pretty excited about that!
A&A'smommy replied: AWWW that is wonderful! You are going to have SO much fun! c
