We had our level II Ultrasound today

They told us that in 70% of cases there is nothing else wrong, but 30% of the time that can mean additional issues, the most common being low birth weight, kidney problems and heart defects. They were able to check the kidneys today and they are fine.

So we are now scheduled for 2 additional ultrasounds - an echiocardiogram ultrasound in 2-3 weeks (I have to call tomorrow to schedule it) to check the heart, and an additional normal ultrasound June 30th to monitor the growth. The chances of there actually being a problem are not large, but we'd appreciate any P&PT over the next few weeks that everything will be OK and that my insurance will cover it all.

paradisemommy replied: i had a 2 vessel cord with my daughter and i breastfed my son while i was pg with her and my daughter came out perfectly healthy at 8 lbs. 1 oz. and she was even taken out a little early - i'll say some prayers for you but just keep thinking positive thoughts!!
