WE'RE HOME - SAFE AND SOUND

Mommy2Isabella wrote: Well HELLO ALL, from NOT SUNNY AND NOT WARM , but RAINY AND COLD SOUTH CAROLINA!

We made it back safely from CANCUN! Other than the SUNBURNS we both have from SNORKELING and hanging out on the BEACH yesterday afternoon. We couldn't find SUNBLOCK anywhere so we are both in a HUE OF RED. I am a BRIGHT red and he is a DULL but BRIGHT RED! We had a blast. It was all well worth it.

For those of you wondering how I got the Doc to give me the OK, well, we didn't ASK persay, we just went ... how horrible!

Talk to you all soon!!!

Jess and Sal .. the Sunburnt Duo ... freshly back from CANCUN!

C&K*s Mommie replied: WB!! wavey.gif

Hope you have a good stock of aloe, or whatever else will soothe the discomfort and pain you have. hug.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: wow that was pretty risky, travling while your supposed to be on bed rest. What a short trip, I thought you were supposed to be visiting family in ATL this past weekend....anyway I am suprised you woud take the risk not only of the travil but the exposier to the sun with NO sunblock. Hope you got some aloe, also you can use vinegar and water to take the sting out.

luvmykids replied:
I was wondering about that .....I don't mean this in a judgemental way at all, just please take your doc seriously. You may feel like you don't need to be on bedrest but he put you there for a reason! I totally understand, b/c when I was first put on bed rest after a few days I thought "I feel fine, this is crazy ..." Nothing happened but if it had I would've regretted it. sad.gif

coasterqueen replied:
Same here. I could never take that risk and the what-if's. I think my doc let me off of bedrest too early because she was born 4 weeks early. Thank goodness she was only born 4 weeks early though.

fashionmumofboys replied: Welcome back, and take care of your sun burned skin.

moped replied:
I thought so too

Mommy2Isabella replied: I don't know how to respond to some of the posts ... other than to say, thanks for caring. The doctor didn't say I couldn't travel. I spent less time TRAVELING to CANCUN than we would have spent traveling to ATL. I am doing everything the doctor said which was take it easy for the most part. I don't feel that we put the baby at harm in anyway on the trip! I am sorry if I have made any of you feel as if I didn't do the right thing ...

I guess this is all I have to say

coasterqueen replied: I think maybe I misunderstood you in regards to your bedrest. I thought the doctor wanted you on complete bedrest, or that's what I gathered from your posts. I was only concerned for you and your baby, because I've been there. I posted this in another thread to you, but I was bleeding from day one with my little one and was on complete bedrest twice (small amounts of time) with STRICT orders to do nothing and then was on moderate bedrest almost my entire pg with Megan. That meant I only got to go to work, sit in a desk chair, that's it. When I got home I could do nothing and that mean all weekend. My doctor wouldn't let me travel at all, even when my close friend had to bury her unborn infant. bawling.gif

That's why I posted. I had thought your doc gave you complete bedrest orders.

Mom2BNTN replied: Glad to hear you made it home safely and that you both had a great time in Cancun!! biggrin.gif

luvmykids replied: Jessi, I did not mean to offend you in any way. I don't know how your doctor worded it or what he told you, so don't know what he would've said had you asked him about the trip. I only know for ME bedrest and taking it easy would not have included airport hustle and bustle, snorkeling, etc. Even before complete bedrest, his definition of taking it easy was a lot stricter than mine, KWIM?

I'm not coming down on you, sorry if it sounded that way. I just know from my experience that I felt good enough to do things like that but in my doctors opinion shouldn't have; again, I have no way of knowing what's been said from your doctor and based on your other posts thought it was stricter bedrest. hug.gif hug.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: Well all in all Jessica, you are the mother of this baby here. We do not know you, but we all want to hear about a healthy baby coming into the world. Continue to make the best decisions possible for your family, I am postive you will. BEST WISHES!! thumb.gif

Mommy2Isabella replied: Thank you all once again. I guess I am a little over sensitve ... I know you all want me to becareful. I guess CANCUN probably wasn't the best choice anyone in my place could have made. Though, I don't regret it. Im not positive the Doc would have okayed it. I am young and of course I KNOW EVERYTHING!

OH GEE ... with all the hustle and bustle of EVERYTHING ... I forgot to mention, I AM AN AUNT ... for the 3rd time. My sister had her 3rd baby Tuesday morning .. and I can't seem to get enough of holding her!

Hope everyone is doing well, I know I am ... AND IM HUNGRY ...

Good Day

luvmykids replied:
Congrats on your newest niece, is it making you baby crazy yet? lol

Are you having cravings, or just hungry in general?

C&K*s Mommie replied: Congrats on the arrival of your 3rd neice!! Someone new to love. rolling_smile.gif

Take good care!! smile.gif
