WAAAHHHHH!
MommyToAshley wrote: Every now and then I put Ashley's bathtub toys in a pot of boiling water to get rid of any yucky germs that may have accumulated. Well, last night I left them boiling a bit longer than normal and I ruined her favorite bathtub toys. The sad thing is that they were DH's bathtub toys when he was a baby. The toys were a set of people that fit into a boat, a turtle and a tea cup. Well, I warped the boat and tea cup.
At least she has the turtle still.... but I am sad because they were DH's when he was little and I ruined them.

gr33n3y3z replied: Oh it happends Dee Dee Get her a few more and she will be happy Now your hubby on the hand may not be
kimberley replied: aww sorry that happened i have done similar also. now she can really cherish that turtle... he is a survivor
DansMom replied: Bummer! I would feel the same way. I hate it when I forget stuff---trying to do too much at once. I hope DH takes it okay.
~Roo'sMama~ replied: Aw that's a bummer! I had those same tub toys when I was little - they sound the same anyways. Sorry they got ruined!
kel replied: oh no!! i would also be sad..but you know what? whats done is done..it was obviously an accident and @ least you have the turtle.. on the upside the toys had a good life you can always get more bath toys and ashley can pass them on to her kiddies one day..if i were you though id pack that turtle away for safety's sake..
mom21kid2dogs replied: Ruined a bunch of brand new sippy cups just like that! Bummer!!
Kaitlin'smom replied: how she is not to upset, or DH for that matter
mammag replied: Well, try not to beat yourself up over it. It does happen to the best of us.
Jamison'smama replied: That stinks!! Have you looked on Ebay to see if you can find duplicates? Don't be too hard on yourself...you were just trying to save your toddler from icky, moldy germs.
JAYMESMOM replied: Accidents happen. You are a very busy mom and you need to give yourself a break. At least the turtle made it out alive.
A&A'smommy replied: awwww I would have been sad too!!! (((HUGS)))
MyBlueEyedBabies replied: I'm sorry
Maybe thats why I never thought of cleaning bath toys...
MommyToAshley replied: Ashley asked for them last night, but she was just as happy to play with some cups.
DH... well, I don't think he has read this message so he doesn't know yet.
moped replied: Oh that is upsetting!
ediep replied: oh, that stinks!!!
amymom replied: That is too bad. I have done it myself.
I solved it by boiling the water and then throwing the toys in AFTER turning the pot off. It worked for me.
