Vent... sorry!

Well, yesterday I noticed that the seem was pulling apart and that flakes of it were scattered on the couch cusion itself. We haven't even had it that long. I told Theron about it as soon as he got home from work. He called the Department store right away. Supposedly, a service tech. is suppose to come out tomorrow and try to fix it but Theron's afraid they are going to say it's a manufacturing defult. He is so ready to tell them to give us our refund and take the couch away. We only paid $800 for it!
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Oh how crappy.
We bought a pull-out 2-seater a while ago, on clearance, sine the store was going out of business... we didn't pay much... and within a few days, it was broken, and they didn't want to refund us. I wonder why they were going out of business..
Halo42101 replied: Oh, I am so sorry to hear that also, Rocky. That must have blown your minds. Isn't sad that they can't make things with good lasting quality any more and you have to pay so many $ to get it.
holley79 replied: I'm sorry. I had that happen when we bought our living room furniture a while back. It was supposed to be "Italian" leather top of the line crap. Well that's just what it was crap. Anyway they ended up having to take the furniture back because it was coming apart at the seams. They had just discoed the set so we got to go back to the store and get another set at twice what we paid without having to pay the difference ourselves.
Halo42101 replied: I am sorry for you too, Holley. Were you & your S/O afraid to go back to the store to get another one after or did you just think you'd get a better one? I'd be nervous to go back to the same store unless someone convinced me otherwise.
TheOaf66 replied: it really sucks when you have something that big if it needs to go back to the store, it is just such a hassle.
Halo42101 replied: I am so afraid they won't take the couch back themselves and that we'll have to drive there just to bring it back. It's over an hour of drive from here.
redchief replied: If the store where you purchased your furniture is uncooperative, try contacting the manufacturer. If it's a store brand, try corporate. Good luck. Sorry you're having such a hard time with new furniture.
gr33n3y3z replied: That really stinks They should be able to fix it in your home God knows we had our share of home repairs on our couch
mamasbigbaby replied: That happend last yar to my mom. It's a crappy thing.
