ammommy replied: This sounds bizarre. I've never had anyone from the phone company actually come out to my house to hookup my phone, unless I was installing a new line. One that didn't already physically exist. Take that out of your jack and call the phone company.

My2Beauties replied: That is really weird, there are devices that people can put on phone lines and make all kinds of long distance calls and jack up your phone bill - call the phone company hon and double check on this guy, shut your door too! That is weird

MomToJade&Jordan replied: Hey guys! Sorry I worried all of you. I never got a chance to come back on last night. I did call the phone company and they were like Huh? The guy WAS from the phone company. Apparently there was something wrong with the service and I was the first person to open my door. He was troubleshooting that's why he told me to put that thing in the jack. It was a tone test device. He explained all of this to DH who answered the door when he returned. It would have been nice of him to explain this all to me before walking off and freaking me out. You know I didn't even think to look for a badge, which he had, at the time because I had Jordan upset in one arm and Jade trying to talk to the guy right next to me. Thanks again for your concern guys. I didn't mean to freak you all out. I got your message Cary just haven't had a chance to call. I got to go. Jordan is mad. Talk to you all soon.

I hope the phone company teaches their tech people to better identify themselves and explain what is going on.
