Trees???? - What kind??
lisar wrote: I wanna get some fruit trees to plant on the property and I am not sure what kind to get. What would yall recommend? What kind grow good and can take the florida weather. I dont like oranges but could do one of them cause the kids like them. But do you know what else besides that I could do? NO PECAN TREE THOUGH... My lawn mower might not enjoy that so much. And the blades are crazy priced. I already have blackberry bushes out there. Also which ones will grow good with the other ones a little close to them. I wanna make light a row of them so they might wind up being a little close.
sparkys2boys replied: I dunno about the Fl temp but what about pears or just an apple tree? Grapfruit too maybe?
lisar replied: Thanks I never thouht about a grapefruit tree. DH would love that. I hate them though. I wanna plant like 5 diffrent trees is my plan.
grapfruit replied: Hmm..
Try THIS link. Maybe it'll give you some good ideas!
luvmykids replied: Peach tree...I only have two but they gave me a lot of fruit over the summer and they were great I also have apple and pear trees, I could actually take them or leave them. I want an apricot tree too.
I don't know climate wise, but I'm sure a peach tree would do well since most of the peaches we buy at the store come from the south, I'm guessing the apricot would do well too.
lisar replied: Thanks thats a really good site. I never thought of Kiwi.
grapfruit replied: Here's another good link. They appear to be out of FL, they have TONS of trees!
mckayleesmom replied: You could put one with those little mini bananas on it....Forgot what they are called...but they grow great in my mil's house...and she doesn't live far from you.
lisar replied: I am gona have to find out what thats called. I LOVE bannanas....
mckayleesmom replied: I will ask my MIL if she comes online today.....they grow wild in her backyard....She only lives about 2 hours from you in titusville....so they should grow where you are.
Calimama replied: I vote for peach or orange!!
lisar replied: Thanks and an orange tree is def. going in the yard.
