This is the BEST news!
PrairieMom wrote: I just got word from my boss that I can decrease my schedule to an unscheduled part time status, which means that I won't have to work every other weekend anymore, (which I have been doing for the past 11 years). I won't have to work every other holiday either. Which means I can spend Thanksgiving with my family. OMG, you guys, I haven't had a full holiday off this entire year, and I get to spend thanksgiving with my family! and Christmas! and new years! I will never have to work another holiday again unless I want to! I can make my own schedule, and just fill in the gaps where I am needed. This is HUGE! it will be such a relief for poor DH who has been totally struggling the weekends when I work. the only thing is that my hours won't be guaranteed, so we may have some financial dry spells, so that is a little worry some, but I am so excited. TTC # 3 was directly contingent on my not having to work weekends any more, so... as soon as my surgery is over and I am healed up...

mom21kid2dogs replied: That's GREAT news!!! (all of it! ) My neighbor does that but she sometimes pulls some wierd shifts. Will yours all be the same shift or will you pull from other shifts?
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: That is awesome!!! I bet that is a huge weight off your shoulders! Now what surgery are you going in for if you don't mind me asking? Everything ok? Sorry if I missed it in a post.
AlexsPajamaMama replied: Lots of great news!! Congrats!
BAC'sMom replied: Congrats!
PrairieMom replied: I'm getting my massive disgusting old granny bunions fixed. I will just have to fill empty shifts, or take them from people that need time off, so I will be still working nights, I will probably work some days too, here and there, and probably some partial shifts, just where ever I am needed.
