There is healing power of McDonalds

C&K*s Mommie wrote: Nurse Nicole (aka mommy) to the rescue.... or so I thought!

Christian got her 4yr old boosters today, and I had it all planned out... I would go get some meds for her and take good care of her at home as I am sure she would be in some pain. But before that I would tempt them with some Chinese food as we were on the same side of town as our favorite Chinese restaraunt.

But oh the pain! The agony! was so unbearable for her rolleyes.gif that she could barely walk; I had to hold her. That got old quickly since she is not the lightest of the two. So Chinese for lunch was out. So a McDonalds happy meal was just what she needed to relieve her severe agony... such pain that one hearing her cry would think I was chopping her legs off. That and the thought of playing on the playground. No meds were needed just a good time with some other kids, and some apples n' caramel. Who would have thunk that pain is actually temporary? emlaugh.gif

McDonalds to the rescue!!

mom2my2cuties replied: McDonald's is our lifesaver as well smile.gif

lisar replied: lol... that is always what they need.

Our Lil' Family replied: Too cute!!

holley79 replied: I could see C doing that. Good thing there are McD's all over the place. Hope the healing power lasts through the night. hug.gif

MommyToAshley replied: There's no cure like McD's. laugh.gif How cute. Glad to hear she'd doing better after her shots.

Ashley loves McDonald's cream of broccoli soup. I've made it at home, bought other canned cream of broccoli... but according to Ashley, none is as good as McD's! LOL

sparkys2boys replied: lol.. oh what a happy meal can do!!! I'm glad that she got over the agony so quickly!!!

Boo&BugsMom replied: I know a Big Mac always makes me feel better! wink.gif laugh.gif

mom2my2cuties replied:

msoulz replied: After watching Superize Me, McDonalds just hasn't been the same . . .

but I do love to have breakfast there!!!! blush.gif

cameragirl21 replied: oh God, what Dee Dee said reminded me of an incident my poor parents had with me when i was a kid.
ok, so even though i live in FL now, i grew up in Ohio and starting from when i was about 6 or 7, we'd travel to FL pretty much every year. so that first year, we went to McD's every night for dinner because of guess who...me. blush.gif those were my pre-vegetarian days, of course. so one night, my mom had had just about enough of McD's and said we are all going to a French restaurant which as you can imagine, completely shattered my world. So i was pouting the entire time, and mind you, this was a very fine, upscale French restaurant and probably not the best place to go with kids, period...but there we were. so the waiter wanted to take my order and i was just pouting at him, refusing to speak and so my mom tells him that i'm upset because i want a hamburger and french fries. so this poor waiter, trying his damndest to please me (God only knows why) turns me to me and says, "honey, we can do that, i'll get you a hamburger and french fries." so of course he brings me a patty of meat with no bun, no pickles, no tomato, etc and some french fried potatoes on the side, without the advantage of being fried to death in McD's uber salty, greasy oil. so the poor waiter, trying so hard to make a kid happy comes up to me after i've taken a few bites in his posh, 5 star restaurant and says, "sweetheart, how is your meal?" and i turn to him and very loudly announce that McDonald's is SO much better than this.
needless to say, we were right back to McD's the very next night....

Insanemomof3 replied: Gotta love mcd's!!!!! thumb.gif

MommyToAshley replied:
I would imagine most of the McD's in the northern states has soup (only in the winter months). It's good, but expensive I think. Ashley loves it though.

C&K*s Mommie replied: Cream of Broc sounds good, right about now. I have to make a run to the store today, so I think I will toss some into the cart. yummy.gif Thanks Dee Dee! biggrin.gif

So being the awful parents we are emlaugh.gif we stopped at another McD's after were were out killing time last night. Since Christian specifically wanted "apples with her fries" for dinner. As Chris went to get her out of the car, she exclaimed "my knee hurts" Chris replied "...then you cannot play on the playground" Lo and behold the power of McD's did it again! Her knee instantly felt better! rolleyes.gif laugh.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: smile.gif double post
