The box
coasterqueen wrote: Dh is always telling me I'm uptight (especially since having kids) and that I need to let loose. I'm starting to agree with him. Anyways, here's a question for you to ponder.
Have you ever done anything "outside the box" (your comfort zone)? And if so, what was it?
Insanemomof3 replied: Yeah, just recently. I went back to school. Man, it is hard, and I am stressed out alot. But it is helping me feel more complete. If that makes any sense.
But that is definetly something out of my comfort zone.
A&A'smommy replied: Um well I don't think I have a problem going outside "the box" I'm always willing to try ALMOST anything at least once!!
TANNER'S MOM replied: You know this is strange.. I was sitting here thinking HEY I am boring I do nothing exciting. I am IN side the box. And to me I guess I am ..but when I think of what other people think of, I guess I am OUT side the BOX so to speak.
I ride horses. wild crazy ones which myself and DH help break..and I let my children do things that aren't quite In the box either.
But to me it's all normal stuff..everyday life..
I guess everyone's BOX is just what they make it. What is normal to me is totally abnormal to everyone.. Your OUT experience maybe something as simple as letting your daughters spend some time away....or it may be something as wild as bungee jumping..just depends on the perspective and which box they are on or in..lol I mean that part as a joke??
What is something outside the BOX you want to do?
Mommy2BAK replied: Ouside the box?? I think I used to know what that was.
paradisemommy replied: i got certified in scuba diving when i'm terrified of water..i used to always have dreams when i was smaller that my best friend was holding my head under the water and i couldn't breathe...hmmmm..maybe that's why i never had ONE best friend..only been back stabbed by many??!!
THAT was definitely outside my box..
that and joining the air national guard cause i wanted to see if i could survive through boot camp!!
Josie83 replied: I suppose so . . . I have never really thought about it! Jason and I are both prety easy going so I would think so . . . its not something I've ever really given much thought too xx
Boys r us replied: I'm definitely an outside of the box girl! It's my husband who I'm constantly trying to get to loosen up, he's so serious and it's really aggravating to me when he won't chill out a little bit and have some fun..on the other hand when he DOES do something crazy, it always makes me laugh so hard and think he's defintiely the greatest! So try it Karen...a little craziness and fun is good for your soul girl...otherwise you're mind is going to grow old before your body does!
ediep replied: I wish... I am totally inside the box! I am going to try to work on that too
Kaitlin'smom replied: I am not sure, I guess I am also more uptight than I use to be. I just dont enjoy the things I used to. there is one thing I would liek to do but i have not found the nerve for it yet.
stanleygirl replied: Well, the most recent thing I did outside my comfort zone, was join a TaeKwonDoe class. I felt silly at first bc they are all soooo good, and fit, but before long I was running, and kicking and yelling like a crazy woman. It was great! But I am really the kind of person who likes to try everything once.
MissyKay2005 replied: I would have to say that through out my life there as alwasy been a box so to say. But as I tryed new things the box got bigger. I would like to try sky diving, go mountain climbing at some point But I would have to say the most recent time that I have steped out of my box is joining this site. Might think that's weird but it has always been hard for me to talk to and trust women cause of some sad insendents in the past in my life. So i am steping out and moving on casue God knows we all make mistakes and not all are bad all the time
redchief replied: I guess the size and shape of "the box" is different for everyone. Considering what I do there's very little I would consider "outside" my box. I saw a reference to skydiving... That's something that's definitely outside my box. I just can't see any sense in jumping out of a perfectly good airplane Given the time to get the training I think I'd like to go scuba diving. Time would definitely be a problem there though.
coasterqueen replied: Well I did a bit of craziness this past weekend, but it was kinda high school-ish crazy. But DH wasn't suprised that I did it so I guess I need to go farther outside the box....that might be too far for me.
mckayleesmom replied: There are alot of things I want to do...that Im getting the nerve up to do
If I were fit (or could run worth a damn) I would join the army....the only thing that would stop me is running...I can't run far. I also don't want to be deployed right now or be anywhere that my husband and kids arn't.
I would like to go to nursing school, but Im afraid I would fail just on the math part alone. .....But Im going to try anyways once the kids are in school.
redchief replied: DO IT GIRL!!!! I'll help with your math homework! Heheh.
redchief replied: But what did you do?
mckayleesmom replied: Thanks...Im gonna try, but Im waiting for the kids to be in school first....that way I can go to school while they are in school too.
