Symbols of strength

MyBrownEyedBoy wrote: I want to get a new tattoo. I want it to be on my shoulder blade and I want a symbol of strength. I've also looked at Celtic knots and I may end up with one of those. But I wanted to get your ideas as to what to you symbolizes strength.

amynicole21 replied: Oak tree - I keep trying to come up with a good design to get that tattooed on me myself! Seems very feminine to me, and also very strong and connected to nature.

or maybe a Lion?

That's all I can think of for now wink.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: sounds like a great idea, I want somethign to represent Kaitlin just not sure what yet, but i have someone who can design/draw it for me when I decide.

TheOaf66 replied: the oak is good one or a picture of Samson

I wouldn't mind getting a tat representing my 2 boys but I wouldn't know what to get

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Just for explanatory purposes. I kind of wanted strength because to me, it will remind me to shoulder my burdens and that I can do it. Whatever it may be.

amynicole21 replied: What about Rosie the Riveter? I always loved this pic. tongue.gif

amymom replied: Amy you are funny!!!

Kelly, What about the celtic symbol for strength. I would need to look it up but I think it is the knot interlink somehow, just simple and pretty IMO.

hopefulmomtobe replied: Here is one of my tats, it goes all the way around... I have two and want one more of 4 little baby feet walking up the back of my shoulder to represent my 4 children.

Good luck finding your tat, I will think about what would be a good symbol of strength.

lisar replied: Just and idea but if you wanted they could put a picture of your son there. A real good artist can do it. Just a thought.

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Lisa, I like that idea. I'd want one where you could see his scar, though. And Ann, I've looked at Celtic knots too. Also Japanese and Chinese kanji.

cameragirl21 replied: a lion is a symbol of strength...in the tarot deck, the strength card is always represented by a lion.

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Yeah, but I'm a Cancer and I don't want people to immediately think Leo. KWIM?

cameragirl21 replied: then get the moon, it's cancer's ruling planet and is eternal, certainly a symbol of strength.

TANNER'S MOM replied: I saw an angel that was pregnant.. representing the strength of woman and our beautiful bodies..and she was holding a heart in her hands.. that reminds me of you because of Logan's heart trouble. It was very pretty..but they did the angels not as really angelic..but more like determined..if that makes sense?

HuskerMom replied: What about like a phoenix, like rising from the ashes or something?

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Here's one I totally like. I'd of course pay the charge to have the design. Don't want to pirate. It's from Pat Fish, Lucky Fish Art Tattoos.
