Stretch marks? - maybe a dumb question

alice&arik wrote: With Arik I got REALLY bad stretch marks. Some were an inch wide and I would get sores on them. So this time, when I get even bigger ( happy.gif ) Are the stretch marks going to stretch further? I was told I will just get new ones, but in the center of my belly there isn't much unstretched skin left. I keep thinking my skin is just going to rip open.

Anybody else burdened with these beautiful baby marks? dry.gif

My3LilMonkeys replied: I have TERRIBLE stretch marks. They range from about 4 inches below my breasts down to my pubic area, all the way around my stomach to about 3 inches in on each side of my back. They almost all came from Brooke - when I was PG with Madison I only got a few new ones. It was the last time my girls shared something willingly! rolling_smile.gif

mummy2girls replied: i was lucky and recieved none on my belly . My belly is smooth:) My thighs and boobs on the other hand got the marks... tongue.gif

alice&arik replied: Mine go to a few inches below my boobs and stop mostly at my sides. But they also go all the way to my *special spot* so I have to shave it all off because it doesn't grow in right. happy.gif I look like I have a flame shave job. laugh.gif

alice&arik replied:
Are you bragging? dry.gif

alice&arik replied: I could change my username to StretchMarkMomma!!! rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif

Mommy2Isabella replied: I am one of the few blessed, I have none! You can try the palmers cocoa butter, I don't know if it will help!!

I know I am worried I will get them this time around so I slather it on everyday!!!

mummy2girls replied:
well actually yes...LOL...but im sure that will come back and bite me in the butt with the next one... rolling_smile.gif

A&A'smommy replied: I have NO idea if this works or not but a friend of mine got some belly massage oil and you leave it on and it suppose to help with the stretch marks I'm not really sure where to buy it at but i know you can find some organic online wink.gif

DillsMommy replied: You probably won't get anymore, since your skin has been so stretched out already. I got a TON the first time, and none at all the second time. I have them everywhere, my belly, boobs, butt, hips, even the backs of my knees. I guess cause I was so tiny to begin with and then gained 60 lbs...UGH! Fourtunatley, they aren't that noticable when I'm tan.

my2monkeyboys replied: I used cocoa butter all the time on my belly, but still got some marks. (Dh actually did it every night and called it basting the turkey!) I don't know if it will actually help, but it couldn't hurt. I imagine you probably won't get too many more since your skin would likely stretch where it had already stretched before first.

Mommy2BAK replied: I've always heard it was heriditery... luckily for me my mom didn't have any. And yes I am bragging because I have had TERRIBLE morning sickness nearly my entire pregnancy, so if there is ONLY ONE THING that has been alright about this pregnancy, that may be it.

HuskerMom replied:
That's what I heard too, mine have gotten very light now. But I'm sure mine will come back this time. My dr said they'll never completely go away but they'll get very light and hardly noticable.

alice&arik replied: Yeah I was told it was hereditary too. 1 of my sisters didn't get any on her belly though. The other 2 got them. Never really asked my mom if she got any. happy.gif I'm going to ask my Dr what he thinks on Friday even though it may be a dumb question.

thanks guys!
