Last fall there was a woman running for judge and her first name was Bambi. I told my husband that all I could think of when I saw her signs were a blonde bombshell in a robe and nothing else! What a moniker! Glad you didn't get that one!!

On the upside, I grew up with a girl in my neighborhood named Bambi. She was a pretty blonde thing and very smart~went into pediatric nursing & got her Master's. My apologies to all the Bambi's out there, but I still inwardly snicker at her name, poor thing!!

Then my mom was watching the show CHIPS one day....she was in the bathtub and 9 months pregnant...she took a little tv in with her while she relaxed. At the end of the show...the credits came up and one of the woman who played a female cop was named Brianne something or other. So my mom chose it for my middle name.....My name was going to be Nichole Brianne......after I was born my Grandma said that Brianne Nichole sounded better and so she switched it around.

kimberley replied: I was supposed to be Tina Marie my mom wanted Tina because i was a preemie and she could call me Tiny Tina but then thought what if i grew up to be fat, the name wouldn't fit. NICE MOTHER!

and she was gonna name my sister Blair if she was a boy *shudders*

DansMom replied: My mom wanted Casey, but dad nixed it. I would have been Stacy if I was a boy, which I think is funny---to me that name is more feminine than Casey OR Tracy!

coasterqueen replied: My mom wanted to name me Christina..my dad wanted Karen. Guess who won. I really wanted my mom to win. I used to play dolls, house, etc and every time I was Christina (my make-believe name). My mom told me years later that she wanted to name me that. How weird is that!

redchief replied: My mom wanted me to be Michael. Dad wanted Richard Ernest, Jr., but mom was adamant that I was not to be a Jr., so my middle name is Edward.

Now dad's and my credit are so twisted up because credit reporting agencies ONLY go by first name, middle initial and address. Since those are the same, it doesn't matter what we say or do, to them, dad and I are the same person, despite being born 22 years apart.

Mom got her Michael 12 years later when they had their last child.

trista_kay replied: My name was going to be Kristen, but my aunt named her daughter that 2 months before I was born! So, my mom named me tristan kay lin. But I love my name. I was the only Tristan I knew. But now everyone is naming their kids tristan.

sunshine girls replied: My dad wanted to call me Ophelia or Poppy, but my mom refused. She choose my name, because she liked it and because she also thought BonBon was the cutest nickname in the world...lol. I can't remember the last time she called me Bonnie, it's always BonBon. She still calls me bubby BonBon, in public...

If I was a boy they were going to name me River Jonas.
