Spunges or dishrags...? - Sorry this is a wierd question....

akbutterfly83 wrote: Just was curious.... cause me and dh by spunges all the time, cause we don't have any dishrags... and they are like .69 cents each.... sometimes more... so we spend a lot on spunges..... or we buy balk @ costco or sams club....

Josie83 replied: Sponges. They are always being flung at my head soaking wet as well  And no NOT by the two year old in the house before you ask rolleyes.gif *sigh* xx

~Roo'sMama~ replied: I use sponges.. I hate the way dishrags flop all over the place. rolleyes.gif I do have a few dishrags for wiping off the counter or for if I'm out of sponges. I go through sponges like mad because I can't stand to use them if they start to smell a tiny bit musty. tongue.gif

gr33n3y3z replied: I use both sponges and dish rags.

Kaitlin'smom replied: I said other cause I use both, depends on what I am cleaning in the kitchen....I need more spunges....thanks for the reminder rolleyes.gif

ediep replied: definately sponge!!! I hate dishrags, they gross me out for some reason. I always buy new sponges because after a while, they gross me out too!

Jamison'smama replied: I primarily use a brush for dishes but for counters etc. I use a rag--I use a new one each time so I have a load of rags at least once or twice a week to wash.

MomToMany replied: I use both. Sponges for washing dishes, rags for washing the table off & such.

Boys r us replied: I use both. I use sponges to scrub pots and pans before I put them in the dishwasher and I use dishrags when I'm actually washing dishes that won't go through the dishwasher and when I'm wiping the counters down. Sponges are HORRIBLE for harboring germs and bacteria and really shouldn't be used on anything that isn't going to be going through the dishwasher!

akbutterfly83 replied: I use the dishwasher all the time... I never... I mean never wash by hand.... LOL.... cause that was my chore when I was younger.... starting @ age 5 or 6.......

~KARA~ replied: I use the Pamolive dish wipes that way I can throw them away when Im done.

Mommy2BAK replied: I voted for sponges. I use sponges all the time, I know they are really gross because they just infest with all the germs ( dry.gif ) but someone once told me to wash them in the dishwasher and it cleans them that way, so thats what I do.

My2Beauties replied: Really Nichole...I didn't know that because I always use sponges!! That is really scary, now I'm gonna go buy a dishrag... ohmy.gif

~Roo'sMama~ replied:
That's why I get new ones so often. I always use tons of dishsoap and hot water, and rinse the sponge out good with soapy water and never leave it in the sink. I haven't really done many dishes by hand since I got a dishwasher though! tongue.gif
I never even thought about putting a sponge in the dishwasher.. that's a good idea.

paradisemommy replied: i use both, sponges for dishes and rags for wiping the counter...

on a side note - throw the sponge in the microwave for 30 seconds and it will kill all the bacteria on it - just let it sit a while before you take it out cause it gets hot. thumb.gif

i think dishrags get just as nasty but since i feel like i do laundry every other day or so, i just throw them in with the wash and don't usually use it more than 2 days.. thumb.gif

Shaykinmom replied: sponge... I go thought about two a week. Has soon has it looks gross I throw it away.

A&A'smommy replied:
THAT is why I don't use sponges that and they get on my nerves! I don't really like dishrags either but I have to have something to wipe down Alyssa's tray and the counter and stuff.. happy.gif

iluvmysweetiepies replied: Both
