Speaking of that rebate

My2Beauties wrote: The other tax thread reminded me of this....my mom said she heard something about the rebate thing getting changed, now they're saying only the households considered living in poverty or "poor" are getting it, like families who have so many children that make under like $30k or something? I want my rebate money If that's the case DH and I won't get any.

coasterqueen replied: The bill passed the house "as is" yesterday - as is in meaning the way we heard it originally. They have encouraged the Senate not to mess with the bill at all and just pass it. Not sure when they'll call it to the floor in the Senate -- or maybe they have today.

so is the bill (or do you know) 800 per person or 600? I originally heard 800.

Yeah, I heard that too, and then I read in the paper that in passed the House and the Senate was urged not to mess with it and pass it. I saw no record of it passing in both houses. If it had it would have been all over the news that it was on it's way to the President's desk for signature.


I only heard $600.

luvmykids replied: I didn't read all the replies....last I heard (today) is that it's in the Senate and the only discord is over actually raising the limits of who should get it, now lowering it. A lot of ppl are upset b/c some of those in the Senate want it to include wealthier people as well.
