Speaking of flushing the toilet...
Danalana wrote: I have to admit that I don't flush if I just pee...I usually wait until I have peed 3 times or so. I wasn't always this way...it has nothing to do with going green, either. When I lived in Mexico, their number one rule (because of plumbing difficulties) was "If it's yellow, let it mellow. If it's brown, flush it down". I guess it's still in my head! But I do flush every time if I'm at somebody else's house or using public restrooms. Anybody else?
DillsMommy replied: I'm the same way.....
momofone replied: i want to be able to do that but when i do it makes stains any prevention tips?
mommy~to~a~bunch replied: Yep, I'm like that too. The amount little kids pee isn't that much, and seems like such a waste of water to flush every single time.
Danalana replied: I don't have stain prevention tips...i just have to clean it a lot.
My2Beauties replied: I flush every single time, unless it's in the middle of the night, gthe baby's room is right next to the bathroom so sometimes I'm afraid it might wake her up, you can hear the toilet flushing really good in her room. Other than that, whether it's yellow, brown, green or blue...it gets flushed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Danalana replied: LeaAnn, you could have at least used some exclamation points
stella6979 replied: Yep, same here. Avery has her own potty and goes so often that I refuse to flush it every single time. And I usually go at least 3 times before flushing as well, unless we have company of course.
My2Beauties replied: LOL!
Teesa®© replied: I was actually thinking of this while reading the other thread. I'm wondering if using the baking soda/vinegar solution for cleaning out a drain would work???
I'm going to try it later
momofone replied: It does work for me with the drain i'll try it there too.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: We normally don't flush every single time, either. Ethan never does. I have to admit that it grosses me out to see pee in the toilet, but we've saved SO MUCH on our water bill. In the past we have been on some pretty strict water restrictions as well. I try to respect that as much as I can. I don't do laundry everyday and the kids take a bath every couple of days. They don't stink and they swim everyday so the chlorine kills whatever germs could possibly get on them. I have to take a shower or bath everyday, though. So does DH. We also wash our hands quite a bit.
This probably belonged in Abbie's post...sorry Dana.
Danalana replied: Geez Aimee, post in the right thread

HuskerMom replied: Whether I'm at someone else's house, public rest room or at my house I always flush everytime. I can't stand to see anything left in there, but that's just me.
Swood75 replied: I am the same way...I just think it is gross..
AlexsPajamaMama replied: I agree
Crystalina replied: We all flush in this house. It's just habit. Well I can't say Evan flushes everytime he pees but the rest of us do. I would be afraid my kids would get in the habit of NOT flushing all the time and then do that at someone elses house! I would hate for someone who doesn't flush all the time to come to my house and not flush. I think kids would get confused as to flush or not to flush.
Danalana replied: See, I NEVER leave it unflushed at somebody else's house...that's just rude.
