Sort of continuing with the theme....

Danalana wrote: Did you know that people think they can bring ANYTHING back to wal-mart for a refund or exchange? The other day, a man brought in some headlights and said they weren't working and he wanted a refund. Oh, and they were EIGHT years old! To be honest, wal-mart takes back way more than they should, but I think you gotta be out of your mind to think you can return 8-year old headlights. I used to be a customer service manager, and I was blown away by what people would try to bring back. Sometimes, I think they just go around the house and grab a couple of things they aren't using anymore...and they EXPECT their money back. WHY? Because it's Wal-Mart. Nuts, I'm telling you!

Celestrina replied: I believe it. A customer tried (and succeeded) to return a used coffee maker. the purchase was from '04. The ones that I find deplorable try to return stuff you know was stolen, but can't prove, and try to get cash back.

lisar replied: eight years ago thats crazy!!!!!! Man I gotta try that. LOL J/K

Crystalina replied: Ridiculous. dry.gif

Danalana replied: Or when they try to return something that isn't in a box and there is no receipt...and you know they didn't even buy it at wal-mart!

sparkys2boys replied: wacko.gif Thats nuts!

mckayleesmom replied: LOL

The Walmart in Jackson Alabama wouldn't let you return anything without a reciept.

Celestrina replied:
Did you ever have someone try to return something and the upc match anything in the databank? Even if the item is sold in our store, the upc would be different than other stores.

MoonMama replied: saywha.gif Geez, people never fail to amaze me. wacko.gif

CantWait replied: WOW your walmart is easy.

Ours is nothing like that. I bought a pair of shoes there once for Robbie and not even a month later then snapped in half, they wouldn't exchange them. mad.gif

luvmykids replied: I had a friend once who bought something (can't remember what) at another store...it didn't work and they were sold out everywhere but Walmart. She was honest and told them she didn't buy it there but she knew they carried it and just wanted an exchange....I guess she's pretty charming b/c they exchanged it for her KNOWING she didn't buy it there. It was an electronic item of some sort and they said they'd just send it back to the manufacturer for her.

grandma replied: Our local Wamarts are like that, they take back everything, even without a reciet.

HuskerMom replied: Our walmart takes stuff back without a receipt.

Boo&BugsMom replied:
I was too Dana!!! A CSM...hahaha! I had a guy bring back a really old skillet once with the tephlon flaking off and everything, burnt food stuck on it too. rolleyes.gif Morons.

Calimama replied:
DITTO! ohmy.gif

Anthony275 replied: dude, limited too has no return policy. my friend worked there, this lady comes in with a jacket thats about 3-5 years old, her daughter outgrew it, but she kept the reciept. she tried returning it and got FULL credit back

MyBabeMaddie replied: Bed Bath and Beyond doesn't have a return policy, they will take back ANYTHING no matter what! No box, no receipt, used, broken, anything...

My3LilMonkeys replied: My SIL is the queen of returns - we all send her to return our stuff for us! rolling_smile.gif She once successfully returned a pair of shes my husband wore for over 2 years because they got a hole in them.

stella6979 replied: Oh, I feel ya Dana. I was a CSR for CompUSA and had a guy try to return a calculator that he bought 8 or 9 years earlier. He still had the receipt, if you can believe that, but obviously his time had run out. In the end, he threw it at me and stormed out. dry.gif

Calimama replied:
blink.gif Classy. rolleyes.gif

A&A'smommy replied:
yeah but the one in Jackson SUCKS anyway!!! wink.gif

I'm not shocked!!! rolleyes.gif

Danalana replied:
WOW. I honestly don't know how they make money, considering how much they take back...not to mention that some of the stuff they take back isn't even theirs!
