So mad!!!!!!!!!!!! - I CANNOT believe the NERVE!

We called the police and filed a report and all of that, I mean we're talking about a $2,500 riding lawn mower! So Rick went to the house this morning to do some work and there was a note on the front door and it said:
"Hi!! I'm the one who stoled your lawn mower. I just wanted to let you know that it runs real good and cuts the grass great, but I did want to see if you had the gas can that goes with it? Thanks again man!"
THE NERVE!!!!!! Oh I'm fired up!!!!! So I told Rick we need to get my brother or someone to drop us off at the house this evening and put a note on the front door to the thief and YOU KNOW they're watching the house..so they'll come to read the note b/c no car will be there and they won't know anyone is there! and when they do, we'll call the police!

Save the note, the cops may be able to get fingerprints off of it. Maybe this isn't the first time the genius has stolen something.

Sorry  Have you spoken to neighbors, etc? I'm guessing one can't just pick a $2500 lawn mower up and walk away with it. Perhaps someone saw them load it in truck or whatever.

Thats what i would do have someone drop you off and set the can out and a note for them.... are there neighbors close by that could watch it too...I hate theives someone stold a 600.00 weed eater out of our front yard...

It's funny enough that the police would probably want to arrest someone who is THAT stupid, just for an entertaining story to tell.

B/c it's in the country and we're nieve I guess..oh and did I mention that this house is directly across the street from the plice/fire/rescue dept?? lol..Rick was mowing friday evening and he had a little left to do, so he left the mower there and went back at 6am the next morning to finish..so the mower was there ..IN THE BACK YARD for less than 12 hours!
