So, today we had this mandatory parenting class.... They had 2 separate rooms for so the parties wouldn't have to see eachother...

In the program they said that the person who petitioned for a custody hearing (Adam) if they were to not show up then the case would be thrown out. If the respondant (me) wasn't to show up then they would be in contempt of court.

It was over at noon and Im walking out the front door as I hear my name.. It's Adam, didn't recognize him he looked really bad..
Here is our general conversation.

Adam: "SSAARRAHHHHH" "How was it?"
Me: "Fine, why are you asking you just sat through it too"
Adam: "No, i'm just getting here I slept through my alarm"
Me: Trying to not bust out laughing... "You idiot, you realize you could be in contempt of court, its gonna be thrown out now"
Adam: "well I'm working 60 hours a week now and i'm just exhausted"
Me: "youre an idiot"
Adam: "Thanks for being so understanding"
Me: "Thanks for being so responsible" HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA

I walked away at that point and he started screaming for me to come back I just kept walking I had to call my mom i was DYING!

He just paid $300 to have the court case THROWN OUT!
HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA

He must really care to see his daughter, can't even wake up to his alarm.
His eyes were pinned and he just had a glaze over him, he was definitely on something.

If he decides to file again he'll have to pay another $300 and I dont see him coughing that up anytime soon especially if he's back on drugs.

I couldn't have asked for anything better! This has definitely lightened my mood up a bit.

TrulyBlessed replied: I don't know the situation, but although that is good news for you so there is no custody battle. I think that is kind of a sad situation. Many prayers that he can be free from his drug addiction and hopefully be there for his daughter and you two can work together to raise her regardless of being divorced.
