All of our Tvs had a dial that you had to turn to channel.

our first VCR was top loading, cost my dad 800 bucks, and the remote had a wire that had to be connected.

I also remember life before microwaves. We had to heat leftovers on the stove or in the oven.

Three's Company! It was my favorite. I didn't miss one episode! And here is what really ages me.......my mom wouldn't let us tell anyone we watched it at school because "what would people think" of her letting us watch " a show with 2 girls and a man living together". LOL!!!

I also remember arguing over who was going to get up and change the channel.

I remember 8-tracks or whatever those things were called. I also remember when cassettes were a wonderful new invention.

I remember being really little and someone called (salesperson) and asked if we had a VCR.... I asked what that was..... we didn't have one of course.

Ooh I'm old!!!

ETA: OH YEAH!, Hee Haw..... who could forget that. And the Mandrels, and Dolly Partons weekly show! Oh and can't for get Donny and Marie!

Dukes of Hazzard every friday night with a big bowl of popcorn. Silver Spoons Different Strokes PUnky Brewster and all those shows the Banana Splits was great too. I have the Muppet Movie soundtrack on 8 track and what is real funny is I have been playing my new kids on the block tape in the car my son who is two asks me to put on my favorite song ( the right stuff). I saw the Osmonds in concert at Valley Forge Music Fair for my birthday one year. Fragile Rock and all those. Josie and the pUssy cats was great as well as the snorks and You can't do that on television I loved watching them get slimed always was the girl Moose I think they called her and Alanis Moriset or however you spell her name was on that and they ate at that burger place. Kids Inc. my sis and I always sang their songs and did routines to their music. the cartoon Kid Video was another good one. Thanks for putting a smile on my face. biggrin.gif

How about the Electric Company. It used to air before or after Seaseme Street.

My Dad had an 8-track player and I remember listening to the soundtrack of The Jazz Singer (Neil Diamond) on it.

I remember my parents talking about John Lennon getting shot in 1980.

There is so much more, but most of you have covered it. I am just amused that all of the toys I used to play with as a kid has come back.
