She set the fire alarm off in Menards!!!!!!

I turned around to look at a particular vanity and Kylie tried to go out the Emergency Exit setting off all the fire alarms in the entire Menards store!

She freaked out immediately and took cover on the floor crying. Poor baby, she didn't know what was going on. I grabbed her immediately trying to find Ryan. I couldn't but found someone who works at the store. I told him we accidently set it off and asked what to do. I have heard before how they can charge you for setting these things off but I wasn't for sure. The guy looked at me and said it would be ok but it would take some time to get the dern thing turned off.

I finally found Ryan and we went about our business while everyone in the store was wondering why the alarm was still going off. We were there for almost an hour and that thing still was going when we left!!! Right before we left some of the workers were looking at us and knew we were the culprits.

So a word of advice for anyone who doesn't want to be in this situation......pay attention to the emergency exits.

I was so embarrassed. Can't believe that happened.

Hee Hee. It won't happen again as long as mommy and daddy keep an eye on her. Goes to show you that you can't have them out of your sights for even a split second.

I'm still embarassed that it happened. Makes me feel like I wasn't doing my job. LOL. But I guess this isn't the worst that could happen.

MommyToAshley replied: Oh no! Poor Kylie, I can imagine how much that probably scared her! Don't be so hard on yourself, I've been in the store many times when the exact same thing happens. They are just too quick and curious at this age!

If it makes you feel any better I've got a story for you.

I took Katherine to the airport on Friday night to pick DH up. She took off running and my fat preggo self couldn't catch her before she had bolted through the security area....through the metal detector....past the xray's and past 3 guards! I had to run though to catch her & honestly, I waited until I caught the eye of one of the guards & he nodded me though, I didn't know what to do. One of the guards yelled out "call the president!" but he was joking. With all the security threats right now and stuff I was mortified. The guards were all laughing but I told K that if I get sent to prison because of her that she won't get an allowence for the rest of her life. LOL they are little buggers at this age.

MomToJade&Jordan replied: ROFL!!!!!! Man I would have been so embarrased. I try to keep Jade contained in a cart when we go to the store. I know that if she was let to roam around she would cause all sorts of trouble.

Oh Cary!!!! That is so funny. I could just see you waddling off after K. It still amazes me how someone so small could be so fast.
