Mr Campbell said he had mixed-race children at Adolph's birthday party, where they did have a cake with his name on it: "If we're so racist, then why would I have them come into my home?" he said.

Okay... so if you are the parent of a mixed race child, would you let them go to a birthday party at this guys house? rolleyes.gif

PrairieMom replied: So I did a search for this guy, and here is another article:

Good names for a trio of toddlers? Heath and Deborah Campbell think so. The Holland Township couple has picked those names and the oldest child, Adolf Hitler Campbell, turns 3 today.

those poor children. sad.gif

cameragirl21 replied: LOL, I saw this story yesterday...the dad's whole point was that his son would have a unique name that no one else in the world has...duh, wonder why?
One of his other kids has the words "aryan nation" in his/her name.... blink.gif wacko.gif

mckayleesmom replied: I wonder if they ever thought about how their children would feel when they find out who they are named after?

Yes I would let my kids play with those kids...not the kids fault the parents are idiots, but I wouldn't let my kid go to their home because they might catch a case of ignorance.

DVFlyer replied: Ahhhh, another example of a parent living with their issues through their children.

Some people should not procreate.

Calimama replied: No, my child wouldn't not go to that birthday party. Aryan nation!? Seriously? Seems like my child would be in danger.

youngmomofone replied: blink.gif

punkeemunkee'smom replied: Honestly I don't see why all the uproar..... I mean how many time during the Obama campaign did we hear a name does not define a perosn....Hitler was a disgusting man- so is Hussien- why anyone would name thier children after either one is totally beyond me but to throw stones now about a name is a little hypocritical...(not anyone on here...I am just saying in general)

DVFlyer replied: ^ good points.. but some things are just wrong

i.e. Me naming my next child "Slavery Holocaust Johnson".

PrairieMom replied:
I think the difference here is that no one is holding it against the child, It just seems to be bad decision making on the parents part. The parents are using the children to spread their message of hate and to draw attention to them selves.

the name Adolph wouldn't be so bad, but adding the Hitler to it takes it to a whole new level.

cameragirl21 replied: Because Obama was middle named Hussein by his Muslim father...Hussein is a typical Arabic name, it's not a reference to Saddam or anyone evil, it's just an Arabic name. It so happens that nearly 50 years later, the West is at "war" so to speak with much of the Arabic world, if you want to look at it that way, which is how Arabs see our war on terror. But the name Hussein is not meant to offend anyone, nor should it.
Naming someone after Adolf Hitler is another thing entirely, it IS meant to shock and offend and most of all, it pretty much guarantees that this poor kid is going to get his azz kicked in school and beyond that. Naming him that is imo a form of child abuse. He is named after one of the most hated mass murderers in history--recent history, mind you.
I think the neo nazi fascist couple, who btw are both living on disablity or so they say, should roll up their sleeves and bake their own cake. Rumor has it they also wanted swastikas on the cake.... rolleyes.gif dry.gif wacko.gif blink.gif
Personally, I feel sorry for those children, it's not their fault their parents are both a waste of space on this planet. Raising your kids in hatred is never ok, never.
Can't have your KKK and eat it too. wink.gif

Calimama replied:
Just my opinion.

Because Hussein is a kind of common last name in the Muslim country. If his name was Barack Saddam Hussein it would be different. He was not named AFTER Saddam Hussein, he just carries part of the same name. The little boy was named AFTER Adolf Hitler.

The Aryan nation represents a white supremacists group IMO. Call me crazy but to me that signifies hate. I went to the Aryan Nation website and it has a huge picture of the swastika in red. That's far more than just a name to me.

cameragirl21 replied: btw, here's the story complete with pictures...check out the lovely and tasteful middle finger bronze figurine in the decor.... laugh.gif wacko.gif
It's too bad, too, because the kid is actually pretty cute. The dad on the other hand looks like he's on parole or something, he just has that look, doesn't he?

Calimama replied:
He has Nazi tattoos and Nazi home decor. rolleyes.gif

PrairieMom replied: wow. There is a link that shows pictures of his car and decor.
I had no idea how COOL they are! why didn't I think of decorating my home with a skull with a swastika on it? puke.gif
and now I am done.

MommyToAshley replied: The refusal of the grocery store to write the kid's name on the cake is only the beginning of that child's problems, and that of his siblings. It's very obvious that they are sending a message of hate by what they named their children. I am sure that they requested the first and middle name on the cake, as I can't see the grocery store refusing to put "Happy Birthday Adolph". There are plently of other unique names available and that wasn't the real reason the name was chosen. It is more than just a name, it's very disturbing and I wish there was some way that someone could intervene before the parents have time to instill their beliefs in those children.

I don't have a mixed race child, but I would not let Ashley go to that birthday party. I know it is not the child's fault, but unfortunately I feel like going to the birhtday party would almost be like supporting their views (even if that is not the case). And, even more sadly, that child is going to learn what he sees ... what kid that age doesn't want to be just like Mom and Dad. Some might say that bringing a positive influence into the child's life may make a difference, but the parents are going to have the most influence over the shaping of their child's values. I would want to be a role model, but yet I am not sure I would want to expose Ashley to that kind of hatred.

A&A'smommy replied: I will truly NEVER understand some people!!!! ohmy.gif growl.gif Those poor kids!!!!!

lisar replied: I bet those kids change their name as soon as they are old enough

punkeemunkee'smom replied: Don't get me wrong Taylor wouldn't be at the party either. I am just saying there is SO MUCH more crap in this world than one idiot and what he names his kids... rolleyes.gif

Jackie012007 replied: I read about this. Seriously, if you are going to name your kids names that give a knee-jerk reaction when heard, why act so shocked when people are upset?!?! I think they are just looking for attention growl.gif
