Real Deal or Knock off - Purses

Crystalina replied: I do not fall into that "name brand" scheme. I never have. To me I don't care if it's name brand or something in a yard sale.  If I like the look of it I buy it.
My aunt gave me a Gucci bag once and it was the God awful ugliest thing I had ever seen. I'm sure she thought I would love it but I gave it to my niece as a play purse. 
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I have a real LV and Chanel handbag, but both were given to me from my SIL who models and gets expensive things handed to her for free. It's not my thing to pay those kinds of prices. I buy purses from Target or Old Navy or Express and actually use them more often than my two listed above.
A&A'smommy replied: depends the most I have ever spent on a purse was 65 dollars if that answers your question!!  My purse of the moment is a REALLY cute fuzzy purse from bath and body works...

I know! This one was tan with dark brown trim and dark brown "G's" all over it. And then a big gold "G" embelishment. 
Jackie012007 replied: okay okay - I'm a purse snob. I am addicted to Vera Bradley bags - I have 3 bags and 3 wallets and one wristlet. I also love Coach but I usually buy them off the street and don't ask questions lol - nothing like getting a brand new with tags Coach bag for $50!

grapfruit replied: I have a good friend who is a purse snob Most of what she carries are actually really cute though. She doesn't buy them (ever) her dad is pretty wealthy and she's an only child. I think (and she thinks) he buys her stuff like that to make up for not being there when she was a kid. (She's NOT a snob other than that )

My2Beauties replied: I prefer real ones, but most of the time don't have the money for them. We have purse parties here a lot, a lot of the purses are knockoffs but look totally real, you can hardly ever tell the difference and some of them are real but they have a flaw so they can't be sold in stores, the flaw is barely noticeable. Right now I have Burberry purse, bought it for $95, it retails for probably over $2000 if I bought it in a store. It's probably a knock-off but her purses look so good you can't tell which ones are real and which ones are knock-offs. I have the wallet and check book holder to match. I've had 4 coach purses, a LV bag and 2 Prada purses also from these parties.

That's just how I am. My sis has to take her kids to the Gap and Abercrombie and whatever else "hip" store there is. Not me.  My kids look just as good and I still have more money in my pocket. She created little monsters.
DillsMommy replied: I love purses. I've got 2 vera bradley, a coach, a dooney and a vera diaper bag, but I also have a TON of wal-mart/target type purses. I'm not picky--If I like it, I buy it. It doesn't have to be "brand name"

I love Vera Bradley and some of the Coach bags. I'm not a big Louis Vuitton fan. Here are some of the VB bags I own:

they are more affordable - I paid $90 for the baby bag, $67 for the curvy tote and $25 for the wristlet. Still expensive but way more affordable than say coach or LV.
MotherForever2043 replied: I am a purse addict!! I personally like the real stuff and the brand names. I think I only own 2 fake ones  My top designers are D&B, Dior, Louis V., and Coach. I am a fan of Bloomingdales. I can always find something I like in there. Here some of the ones I own.

My3LilMonkeys replied: I don't think I've ever paid more than $15 for a purse. I've had several thrift store/yard sale specials, a few from Walmart/Target. My current purse was a Christmas gift - a bath & boy purse that came full of lotions and stuff.

AlexsPajamaMama replied: I love purses and like to use a differant one all the time...so if I paid $300 for a designer purse Id feel obligated it use it forever.....so I buy cute ones where ever and change them out all the time. The most I have paid is $50 at Gap for a really cute purple one, that was a couple years ago.
