Question for Ladies

Edward's Mommy wrote: I would post this in health, but for some reason, I didn't think it would get any notice. Lately my breasts have been hurting really bad. They usually hurt during 'that time of the month', but it's not that time. And they are so so sore!! What should I do? What could it be?

C&K*s Mommie replied: I would wait for some time (until your usual AF beg date plus a week or so after) and check to ensure that you are not PG. It could be that, anything other than that I would not have a clue. But that is a good tip-off about PG. But then again it may be something wierd all of our bodies does from time to time, and it is not PG after all.

CAMSMOM1 replied:

I was going to say the same thing. dito.gif I know my breasts hurt right before my AF, and sometimes a week before. Just depends. I swore I was pg, and one of the symptoms I had was sore breasts, so that's why I thought that.

Anyways, I would just wait a few more days, and if no AF, then I would buy a PG test. BTW...are you trying to concieve?

Edward's Mommy replied:
Oh, goodness no!!! I just had AF two weeks ago. I came off of birth control because I can't afford it and DH is using other protection, KWIM? And they hurt so much worse then they ever have!! I've always had problems with my breasts hurting. I just never thought anything about getting it looked at.

mommymonster replied: This happens to me when I increase my caffine intake. My boobies swell alittle and feel tender. (although it is not that bad when I want to fill out my favorite top tongue.gif )

C&K*s Mommie replied: I did not know that could be a culprit. That may be it *Edwardsmommy* (fingers are crossed) since you say you are not TTC, hopefully it is your caffiene intake, and not PG.

kayla's mama replied: My girls get kinda sore and lumpy. I have cystic breasts. The doc told me to monitor the caffiene and stress. Also, to stay on top of doing the breast exam.
Hope they get feeling better hug.gif

jacobsmama replied: caffeine is major culprit of sore breast and AF (or pregnancy). If this continues I would check with your doctor they may want to do an exam or order a breast u/s or mammogram. Just watch it and call if not getting better. wub.gif

kit_kats_mom replied: are you nursing?

Edward's Mommy replied:
I tried to, but Edward wouldn't latch on. When he was a week old he was in the hospital for low oxygen levels. After that, I couldn't pump anything out. My doctor told me that I 'dried up' from worrying about my son. He's 7 months now. So no...I'm not.

And I haven't been drinking anything with caffine. I usually drink decaf tea. I know there's still a little caffine, but I'm not consuming more than usual. I don't drink coffee or soda. Lately I've been craving chocolate and DH has gotten me some, but I had soreness in my breasts before I started craving the chocolate.

A&A'smommy replied: it could be from ovulation!!

Mommy2Isabella replied: I don't have much life experience, BUT I have also been LARGE up top. My breasts hurt REALLY BAD when I don't wear a bra, such as to sleep. I don't know anything about your size but that could be the culprit also!

Edward's Mommy replied: Well, I'm only a 34-C. And I only take my bra off for showers and if they hurt bad enough. But lately they've felt so heavy that I can't take it off!

CosmetologyMommy replied: Could you be pregnant Brandi? wub.gif

Edward's Mommy replied:
Oh!! I sure hope not!!! We can't afford another one....let alone the lack of room we have. We bearly have room for Edward!!

Edward's Mommy replied: I've been craving Chocolate and Tuna a lot lately! I can't remember when I had craving during my pregnancy with Edward. Would it be too early for cravings???

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I had a swollen lymph node once in my armpit area which made my boobs sorta sore as well. Go to the doc and have them check it out. The only other things I can think of are of course PG and ovulation. Keep us posted!
