Potty training roll call - how are they all doing?

DansMom wrote: Is your preschooler fully trained on #1 and #2? Are you still waiting to start potty training until your child seems more ready? Are you somewhere in between?

One of my projects during vacation last week was to put more focus on PT and make some strides if Daniel seemed up for it. By the end of the week Daniel was having totally dry days in his big boy underwear, but the arrival of #2 was a bit of a mess both physically and emotionally. I'm motivated by Corey's achievement, though, and we'll keep on keeping on.

I thought it would be fun to share progress reports from all you trainers out there. How's it going? Strides and setbacks, let's hear about them!

coasterqueen replied: Well Kylie is fully DAY potty trained. We are still working on NIGHT potty training. If she goes to bed in a pull-up, 90% of the time she stays dry all night. If she goes to sleep in underwear, 90% of the time she'll pee the bed. rolleyes.gif

Although I must admit these past 3 weeks or so she's had about 3 daytime accidents. sad.gif I have no idea what the deal is. One time I spoke about recently when she was at the mall with the dcp. Another time she told DH "daddy, got to go potty". She was standing right in the hall by the bathroom and Megan's room (DH was in Megan's room). He told her to go on in there and get on the toilet (like normal) and he'd be in there in a sec. He walks right in front of the bathroom door in the hall and stepped in a big puddle of pee. She peed in the hall when she told him she had to go, not after. wacko.gif

Josie83 replied: I just wanted to say good luck to you all oz Cassie's fully trained and has been for a long time now . . . she was fully potty trained by about two and a half at the latest I think smile.gif xx

A&A'smommy replied: just started so don't know yet... tongue.gif

maestra replied: Jaci won't even use the potty- we have tried everything, and every kind of potty.

amynicole21 replied: Sophia's in panties full time now. She had an accident this weekend - she doesn't ever feel remorseful about it though... she just told me she was wet and needed a change. She still needs to be reminded to use the potty constantly because she NEVER tells us she needs to go.

3_call_me_mama replied: Cameron is fully night and day trained. Has been since March. He will have an occasional (maybe 1 time every 2 weeks) time that he waits until the last possible secnd to go adn runs there. sometimes strating before he gets there. He generally just goes on his own without even informing us. Although sometimes he insitis that someone go with him. He did really well when we went to Massachusetts over teh 4th. We only stopped once in a 6 hr ride to pee smile.gif And the day we were at the beach he peed outside once (and told our friend Bob ; "HEy Bob the builder I peed on your truck") rolleyes.gif And he really did too LOL> Peed on his tires, cause he didn't want to go up to the cabin. But good luck to everyone out there still training. It's so worth it when they are ready adn they do it on their own:)

3_call_me_mama replied: OK so RIGHT after i posted this.. Cameron comes in and says"it's ok Mom , I need new PJ's. I was outside and had to poop but waited too long, but it's ok cause you can wash them dry.gif DARN KID! So that's his one for the next two weeks or so! LOL

Jamison'smama replied: Jamison is doing pretty well---we are only on about week 3 but she spends most days in panties unless we will be someplace where the bathrooms are scarce. She still lacks the ability to give us sufficiant warning so bathrooms need to be pretty close. She wears pullups to bed but often wakes up to potty. With all of Jama's pooping issues we thought it would be a nightmare but she has not had one pooping accident--probably because she does the two day poopy dance prior and give us enough warning. She also gets cookie dough following a poop in the potty --really, who wouldn't poop for cookie dough?

amynicole21 replied:
Hee hee - I know I would! rolling_smile.gif

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: Katy is doing well, we just got back from our trip to Texas which was her bribe for no accidents for 2 weeks (we would have eventually gone anyway to visit my sister but gave her some "control" over timeing) She had a couple accidents while we were there but she was telling us she had to go then peeing in her clothes while standing in the bathroom.....It was very weird.
She has been wearing panties to bed for the last week or so and hasn't had any accidents smile.gif

Karen~ When Katy was going back and forth on night time dryness we started putting the pull-up over her panties, if it syated dry we could re-use it but if it got wet no changing of the sheets it kept costs and sanity under control smile.gif

b&bsmom replied: Well it has been about 3wks I guess and Bryce is doing pretty well. He has an accident here and there. We have not even attempted nighttime because he still wakes up soaking wet. He does a great job during the day. He goes all by himself I only know that he went because he comes out with his pants and undies for me to put back on. Should not be too long before we don't have to worry about accidents at all. Good luck to everyone great to hear all the success stories. biggrin.gif

coasterqueen replied:
rolling_smile.gif Can I have some cookie dough? tongue.gif

coasterqueen replied:
You know I've thought about doing that but is it teaching her to wake up and ask to go pee? I just don't know how to make her understand she needs to wake us up. And it's not like it should be a problem because DH sleeps with her, so it's not like she has to run clear across the house to our room to ask first then go.

Insanemomof3 replied: Tristan is REALLY showing interest in the potty. Unfortunately though we had a little setback last weekend. bawling.gif But today it is getting better. No poopy on the potty but he tinkles pretty good. biggrin.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Zach is 2 years and 11 months old.... he's been potty trained for just over a full year - days only since he was 22 months old - nights - well - it's easier to change a dipaer than change the sheets. tongue.gif

Emilie is just about 19 months old - she's potty training right now - we *officially* started on Friday afternoon - and she's had 2 accidents since then. She really likes using the toilet - we have a little seat we put on it - everytime she pees, she gets to brush her teeth. rolling_smile.gif

Hopefully Emilie will be fully day trained by Thursday of Friday. This is the BEST age to train them - they want to please SO MUCH, they're eager to do it to make you happy. Zach took 3 days at 22 months to train.

Good luck to all of you who are training now!
