He wandered away from camp during a scout trip. and hasn't been seen since. As an avid backpacker, and soon-to-be dad, I'm really concerned about this little guy's welfare. stella6979 replied: He and his family are definately in my thoughts, but has anyone else noticed how often this has been happening lately? I by no means am placing the blame on anyone, but you'd think the kids would be a little better supervised.

I know. How long must he have been missing before they noticed? If you're watching your kids (or whoever was in charge of him) then you kind of notice he's not around and look for him. If you notice in a timely matter then he wouldn't get too far.

I don't know this situation though so...

redchief replied: That's great news. I remember when I was a scout, we had a similar event during camp. One of our troop went missing in the middle of the night. He apparently sleep-walked away from camp. He was found the next day 25 miles away. He woke up and couldn't find his way back so he started walking. He found a road and followed that, then a house and knocked on the door.

I'm glad the littel boy was found alive and well. that is always terrible.
