Pillows - when did your kids start having one in b

moped wrote: Just curious - when did your kids get a pillow? Jack doesn't have one but I wondered when/if your got one?

Kaitlin'smom replied: HUmm I dont remember when Kait started, she has been latched onto this little pillow for so long I cant remember when she stole laugh.gif it off the door I am thinking around 16 months or so.

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Logan has a tiny one now, but most nights he ends up on his tummy with it tucked under his belly, so I took it out. Figured that when he starts to look like he needs one, I'll try again. But as long as he's a belly sleeper, I won't worry about it.

A&A'smommy replied: Alyssa got one around 21 months or so, whenever we put her bed in the floor!

redchief replied: Most kids don't need one ever. It is said that if we all learned to sleep without a pillow, we'd have less stiff necks and all as we became adults. I don't know how true all that is because, despite my frequent neckaches... I LOVE my pillow and wouldn't give it up for anything. I think pillows, like blankets and stuffed animals kind of just happen. Looking back, some of our kids used pillows pretty young, others didn't even when they were available, for quite some time. Kaitlin didn't really start using one until she was like seven. She slept below it. Even now she sleeps on the flattest part of the pillow and at the bottom edge.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Maddie still doesn't sleep with a pillow. I gave one to Ethan a few months ago when he was sick and now he won't let me take it out. tongue.gif He loves his pillow, his blankie and stuffed animals. I don't worry about him. From birth he had to sleep with his blankie over his head. blink.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied: uh... since they were out of their cribs? dunno.gif

pretty much all the pillows in our house are very flat... I know mine has to be flat enough that I can feel the bend in my arm throough it.....

Emilie has a flat pillow, and she refuses to let go of my boppy pillow.... she uses it as a "chair" in her bed to watch her Dora dvd before bed. dry.gif

We do have 2 or 3 big fluffly pillows... cuz my mom is a spaz and flipped out that we didn't have any "comfy" pillows - she bought them for us, so she could use them when she visits. rolleyes.gif

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Good question! I haven't even thought about giving one to Wil yet. Just hasn't crossed my mind, but it's something to think about! I suppose I'll start when he goes to a twin bed?

PrairieMom replied: The boy got his when he moved to his toddler bed.

~Kellie~ replied: Lukie got his when he was about 21 months old. Maddie Moo still doesnt use a pillow, unless she sleeps in our bed.

mckayleesmom replied: Mckaylee got hers when she was about 14 months.

My3LilMonkeys replied: We tried to give Brooke one at 18 months and she kept throwing it out of the crib dunno.gif

Even if she lays down on the couch she won't use a throw pillow or anything. I guess we'll try again in a few months.
