Phantom movement?

Danalana wrote: I'm hoping I'm not nuts, so I wanted to see if any of you have experienced this...
You know how those first movements feel in early pregnancy? Kind of a tap tap tap? Well, I still (6 months later!) get those feelings every now and then. Is it normal to feel it? I was thinking maybe it's like when somebody loses a limb, but still experiences what feels like phantom movements...anybody?

Calimama replied: I've had that. My doctor suggested it might be gas. tongue.gif

Danalana replied: LOL, no! People used to tell me the first movements would feel like gas...well, my gas never felt like that laugh.gif

Calimama replied:
Having a baby changes your body a lot more than those little cute pregnancy books let on. laugh.gif

mckayleesmom replied: I get those all the time... rolling_smile.gif

The other day I got one so hard that it felt like a baby kicked.....if I didn't know for a fact that I wasn't pregnant...I could have sworm I was 5 or 6 months along rolling_smile.gif

I think they are just muscle twinges.

Jamison'smama replied: Well, before we had babies and we got those twinges, we would think they were just twinges, after we felt kicks, then the twinges feel like kicks. Also, it takes a long time for things to go back to the way they are supposed to be and I think things are probably still moving back into place and contracting at the 6 month stage-- just a hunch

MyBabeMaddie replied: I get them all the time even 2 years later... I asked my mom about it and she still gets them 18 years later, lol its totally normal laugh.gif

Our Lil' Family replied: I've gotten those a couple of times and immediately thought if I didn't know better I'd think I had a baby in there! lol

Danalana replied: Ok. good! Thanks smile.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: OMG I am so glad this is normal, I get them all the time and it drives me crazy. I admit the first few years I even took PG test thinking dont tell me another one is hiding from me..... wacko.gif

Danalana replied: laugh.gif I know! I was beginning to wonder!

lisar replied: I've had it ever since my hysterectomy. They say its gas

Danalana replied: LOL, I bet they say everything is gas!
