Party-poopers....

Hillbilly Housewife wrote: I put out 2 gifts last night, to two neighbours... with a little poem about some crap about keeping the holiday cheer going, and to give 2 gifts to 2 neighbours and running away... and the Christmas angel...

they're not seeming to want to play... dry.gif rolling_smile.gif

Ah well... I'm only out 10$ and about 30 minutes or so. rolleyes.gif laugh.gif

PrairieMom replied: rolleyes.gif Holiday spirit? whats THAT? rolleyes.gif

luvmykids replied: Bah Humbug to them, sounds fun, I would play! thumb.gif

CantWait replied: I'd play also. Sounds like something to start next year....or even this.....what's the poem or whatever.

Hillbilly Housewife replied: This is it.... tongue.gif

The Christmas Angel has come to town,
To leave you some goodies, which I see you have found.

If you wish to spread some of this good cheer,
Continue this greeting, 'cause Christmas is near.

First post the "Angel" where all can see,
And leave it there until Christmas Eve.

Then get 2 gifts, with 2 notes like this,
Deliver to 2 neighbors who the Angel has missed.

You have only two days to leave a treat.
Ring the doorbell and run -- be fast on your feet.

Let's share in the spirit of friendship and love,
That's what Christmas is really made of.

kit_kats_mom replied: I think that is a great idea. Might have to steal that one. happy.gif

Jamison'smama replied: We do something similar on Halloween with a ghost picture and poem. I like that one...I'd play.

Calimama replied: Neat idea! Too bad some people have no Christmas spirit. tongue.gif

CantWait replied:
You know, I think I just might do it. wink.gif

CantWait replied: Ok, I have to be stupid though and ask "what is the angel"? laugh.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: I like that Rocky. Now if something like that came in e-mail form I would not "play" I would hit delete, but for actual gift giving, I would gladly play along. Even if they cannot recognize the holiday spirit, we can and like it. thumb.gif

BTW, could they have left a gift on a neighbors doorstep without you knowing it?

CantWait replied:
Possible, but as the poem goes, there should be an angel on the door till Christmas Eve rolling_smile.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Update... they have both posted their angel on the chain at the top of their screen doors. happy.gif

Technically, there should be 4 more angels posted by the end of day tomorrow if everyone keeps playing...

Guess they took the full two days... I guess not everyone is as anal and excited about this as I am! laugh.gif

sparkys2boys replied: what a cute game, I'd play!!!

amymom replied: What a great and wonderful idea. I am about to steal it! Is that keeping int he Christmas spirit? Oh wait I am going to say Rocky gave me this idea. So I didn't steal it, it was a gift. Thanks.

Forgot to ask: Is the "Angel" a picture of an angel???

Hillbilly Housewife replied: I just drew an angel on a piece of paper... cut it out and drew on it. I tied a piece of wrapping ribbon on it... i'll meke a temp;late for you ...

Hillbilly Housewife replied: ok so myu piicture sucks.. but what do you expect for 30 seconds in Paint!!

lol

Hillbilly Housewife replied: And I made it about 6 inches big...it's obviously drawn a little better than with a mouse... blush.gif

redchief replied: I have to admit, I'd eat the goodies and not continue the game. Not because I don't think it's cool or anything, it is. I just don't see myself doing that. blink.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied:
Um ok... I gues I hadn't written that the gifts I put out were scented candles in a jar with a lid... laugh.gif tongue.gif
