No, we hired a company to do it (I've learned my lesson - we don't let DH do big projects anymore )

We always had the pass through, but we added the countertop to it this time.

Those are flourescent lights under the cabinets. I love it too, because it can be fully lit up in the kitchen and it isn't glaring to the eyes. I have sensitive eyes and always hate direct overhead lighting. This works PERFECTLY!
