Opinions Needed Please - Keep or Take it back?
MommyToAshley wrote: I went shopping today, and I saw the cutest little outfit. I couldn't help but to buy it. But, when I tried it on Ashley to see if it fit, DH didn't like it. He said it looked like a costume.
It's a little big (3T) but I thought she looked cute in it. DH says take it back, I say keep it... what do you think. YOu can be honest, my feelings won't be hurt.
MommyToAshley replied: I think she looks like Peebles in her bare feet, LOL
Maddie&EthansMom replied: It looks like Ashley likes it! I think it is cute, but does look sort of like a costume. I say it depends on how much you paid for it. If DH tells me to take something back, I normally do (just b/c he runs the household...LOL! No, I'm kidding!)
She does look like Pebbles! LOL!
jen replied: I think it is cute! I think it may need some black tights but it is cute! I am not one for animals prints and I like it! She is tooooooooo cute! I love seeing pictures of her, she is always smiling so happy!
maliksmommy replied: I think it is cute but the skirt kind of makes it look like a costume. I agree with Aimee about the price of it. If it cost a lot and my DH told me to take it back I probably would, and then get something else though. Ashley of course looks absolutely adorable in anything she wears!!!
Kirstenmumof3 replied: Well I love the sweater, but I'm not to crazy about the skirt. Ashley looks so cute in it though. I think with some little black tights and black shoes, it would look great!
aspenblue1 replied: I think she looks cute in it.
jem0622 replied: Call me an absolute prude...and you asked me for my opinion...if I had a daughter I would not dress her in anything like that or make it an option until she was 18.
I do like the sweater. But I do not like the skirt at all.
Just my two cents. I have a major problem with the clothing made available for the very young to the older young girls these days. It just boggles my mind.

MommyToAshley replied: Thanks for your opinions. I guess DH wins this one! It is not my style at all, I'm not much on animal print either, but I still thought it was cute. I guess I got caught up in the moment. I fell in love with the sweater, but I don't think the skirt is inappropriate. I had thought the same thing as many of you.... black tights and shoes. (I was only checking to see if it fit here) I got it at Elder Beerman, it was regularly $45, but with all their sales, it was only $9. But, I guess I can find something else for the $9.
alice&arik replied: I think it is cute but not really something I would put on a girl. It is a little too much. But it would be nice for an outing to the grandparents or something.
amynicole21 replied: For $9 I'd say keep it... not worth the effort of returning. Besides, I think she looks adorable in it
Jamison'smama replied: Okay, I like it. I think you could split it up and it may even be cuter---Jamison has a similar skirt that she wears with a black turtleneck and black tights. She could wear the sweater with black pants or even jeans. I think for 9.00 you should keep it--with a couple of basic pieces you would have several outfits.

i agree, i am a prude too
My2Carebears replied: I think it looks cute and not like a costume!
Heather replied: I have to say that I like the skirt! LOL! I mean she is only a year old, it isn't like she is going out flaunting her stuff! Black tights and black shoes..too cute!! She is so cute Dee Dee!
~CrazieMama~ replied: I say keep it. I like it. Good with a pair of black tights and shoes though. I am not an animal print lover but it is a cute outfit. You can make many outfits with both pieces.
ediep replied: I agree, it is really cute but I think it would be cuter separate. For $9, I'd definatley keep it!
Kaitlin'smom replied: I like the sweatter but not the skirt....
mckayleesmom replied: I say keep it...I think it will look cuter with black tights...besides...do you really want to stand in line around xmas time to return something for 9 dollars?
DansMom replied: I don't like leopard prints, tiger prints, etc., but I like the style of the outfit. I agree with your DH overall, though, that the leopard print makes it kind of costumey. It might be a bit over the top---but Ashley has the personality to carry it off! She's funny and smart and social, so I think she can make it work.
jcc64 replied: I think it's hysterical. She looks so cute. For $9, you don't have to LOVE it. And I disagree with it being inappropriate for a child to wear animal prints. To me, inappropriate clothing on young girls has more to do with cut and fit, not pattern, and is hardly an issue with a toddler. As a designer myself, I have to tell you animal skins are hardly a radical notion. I say keep it, but I would split it up and put the skirt with a simple black turtleneck and wear the sweater with a pair of jeans. Together, it's too much going on.
coasterqueen replied: I like the skirt, but don't like the sweater. She does look cute in it though
maestra replied: I totally agree.....speaking of cut- my mil bought Jaci two halter top dresses during the summer. These were ones that tied around the back of her neck and left her back completely bare. Now that is inappropriate to me. I never let her wear them. But I personally don't have a problem with animal prints.
