Online Fitness Class!

MommyToAshley wrote: It's 2am and I just finished up some work and can't sleep, but I thought of an idea. Due to my lack of self-discipline, I thought we could start an online fitness class. The instructor could post the excercises, how many, and how to do them each day and we can sign off when we do them. I am more likely to do them if I have some accountability and motivation. What do you think?

With that being said, any of you fitness buffs wanna volunteer to be the instructor?

Now, please take it easy on me, and don't make me do crunches EVERY day! hehe. We could even have two classes, one for Post-partum and one for PGers. The PP would do crunches and the PGers kegels...LOL. ANother reason to get PG.

Ok, just some ideas... what do you think?

juliajaj replied: I love this idea. DD will be 1 on August 9. I'm 5 lbs. from my goal weight & am struggling to get back to my goal. I'm still nursing, so I've heard sometimes it's hard to lose the last few lbs. when nursing. Right now, I'm trying to eat as healthy as possible (allowing myself 1 dessert/treat a week), drinking lots of water (sometimes I don't get my full 64 oz. in) & exercising each day (either taking DD out for a brisk walk in the stroller or doing a Leslie Sansone walking workout tape).

As for specific toning areas, I'd like to firm up my arms (starting to get a little skin flabby), my tummy (I know - more crunches), but I'd really like to focus on trimming down my hips & thighs (I think this is where the extra 5 lbs. is hanging out).

I wouldn't be the fitness expert that should send out exercises, but I'll definitely do any exercises posted.

Thanks!!!

Julie

mckayleesmom replied: my sister is a personal trainer, maybe she can give me some ideas to post. I am also going to start doing pilates.

Mommieto2Girls replied: That'a a great idea. I would love to join. biggrin.gif

mckayleesmom replied: I wouldn't mind being the regular instructor if someone else doesn't mind being doing the pregnant one. Also if it was ok if we picked 1 exersise to everyday per week. For Example

week 1 50 sit ups a day
week 2 15 push ups a day
etc....

I say one exersize a week cause it will be better so I have more time to come up with different exersizes that everyone can do without equipment.

I would do the pregnancy one too, but Im afraid I will hurt someone.
lol

Let me know what you guys think...I will be back later...Taking Mckaylee to get her pictures taken.

Mommieto2Girls replied: Maybe you could do a weekly routine, and everyone sigs off each day,

week 1 - Mon- 50 sit-ups
Tue- 15 push-ups
Wed- 50-sit-ups.......and so on. Make a weekly routine instead of doing the same thing everyday.

aspenblue1 replied: It sounds good to me

Schnoogly replied: I could do the pregnancy one--I have lots of prenatal yoga and exercise tapes that I could take stuff from. If anyone is interested in doing it, I'll be gentle smile.gif

MommyToAshley replied: Sounds great! You all have some good ideas! Thanks to those who volunteered to instruct the class and to those that are going to join the class. This is going to be fun... but take it easy on my poor body. hehe

When do you want to start the classes? Monday?

Kaitlin'smom replied: sounds good to me when do we start?

mckayleesmom replied: We can start on Monday, I already went to the book store today to find some fitness magazines that had different exersizes in them that won't kill us. I was thinking that next week we can work on different stretches first if everybody doesn't mind. I know that Im bad at stretching, so maybe this will encourage people to do it so they don't get hurt.

Hillbilly Housewife replied: I want to join too!!!!!

(the preggers group, please!)

coasterqueen replied: Ohhhh, I wanna join!!!!! I have lost 40 pounds so far on the breastfeeding WW program, but have really slowed down on weight loss. I am only 5.5 pounds away from my ULTIMATE weight goal. The only problem is with all the weight I have lost it has left me very NOT TONE!! LOL! Because I wasn't exercising while dieting. I used to go to an aerobics class twice a week before Kylie was born and LOVED it, but I just feel too guilty leaving the house now to do that since I am a WOHM. So I have to do something at home, but as you all know, it is very hard to do exercise at home w/o motivation!!!

So count me in!!!! We start next week? What will the exercises be then? I saw some mentioned, but didn't know if they were actually set in stone yet.
