I love hearing about all the kids on the board, and as parents we all deserve some bragging rights. biggrin.gif I am anxious to read all your answers!

mammag replied: What is the last thing your child(ren) did that impressed you?

The really just impress me when we are at occasions (like birthday parties or something) I always get compliments on how well behaved they are.

What is the last thing your child(ren) did that made you laugh?

Earlier dh asked Conner for a hug and he put on his mean face and boxing fists and gave him a big upper cut. He's so funny when he's fierce!!!

What is your child's/children's latest acheivements?

Cade is doing so good with his Jiu-Jitsu. He looks like a little man out there. He's also really improved his reading lately! He's reading books faster than I can get to the library to replace them.

What is your most fond memory of your child(ren)? I don't know if you would call it a memory right now but what will be my best memory are moments like tonight when all four of them were cuddled up in my bed with me watching Survivor. It was warming my heart just having them all surrounding me. Gosh I love those little buggers!!!

iluvmysweetiepies replied: What is the last thing your child(ren) did that impressed you?
Ashlyn, Ariana, & Sofia being so understanding and well-behaved when the twins were in the hospital, and now being such good helpers. They are constantly getting things for me or cleaning something up or calming down a baby. wub.gif

What is the last thing your child(ren) did that made you laugh?
When Sofia told me this morning that a lady was walking a white puddle out side (meant to say poodle) laugh.gif

What is your child's/children's latest acheivements?
I'm so proud of Ashlyn for having a 4.0 for the first two quarters and for winning her basketball championship game. Way to go my little girlie! wub.gif

What is your most fond memory of your child(ren)?

Last night when our whole family was cuddled up in me and Dh's bed reading a book. wub.gif Ashlyn was holding one baby and DH was holding the other and everyone was clean and snuggly. I love moments like this!

LOL sorry for all the bragging biggrin.gif

kit_kats_mom replied: I'll answer these about Katherine since Lauren is still pretty much doing nothing rolling_smile.gif
What is the last thing your child(ren) did that impressed you? She drew a picture of mickey mouse (she actually put 3 circles together in the places they should be for his ears & head & she put a face on it...sorta). I also realized that she now has almost every word of Dumbo memorized including the grunts and other sounds. Don't know what that says about our parenting but I'm impressed anyway.

What is the last thing your child(ren) did that made you laugh? Just now. She's been lying in bed for over an hour, unable to sleep. I heard her call me and when I poked my head in she said "is it time for me to wake up now mommy?" in the sweetest voice. LOL I told her no and she said "ok" & put her head back down on the pillow. wub.gif

What is your child's/children's latest acheivements? drawing things and telling us what they are. She's coming out of her shell with other kids. She's asking for things more than telling us. For example "mommy, can I sit here now?" Instead of "UP!!"

What is your most fond memory of your child(ren)? Most fond? Well, K is pretty darn charming when she wants to be. Earlier this week when she was feeling especially ill, I went into her room to pet her head and run my fingers through her hair. This is something that my mom used to do and it's so comforting. It wasn't putting her to sleep and at one point, I laid my head down on her bed and she started petting my head too. LOL. I looked up at her and she was smiling with her eyes closed. wub.gif I was sooo tired but I would have stayed there all night long if she needed me too.

coasterqueen replied: What is the last thing your child(ren) did that impressed you? Kylie spelled her name and she did it right. I'm just so amazed that she's doing that at this age, but I hear it's common, so it may not be impressive to anyone else, but it is to me. wub.gif

What is the last thing your child(ren) did that made you laugh? She told me today I'm not a woman, I'm just a mommy. tongue.gif

What is your child's/children's latest acheivements? She's learned that she needs to look both ways before crossing the street and that's a big one since we live in the country and have roads with no crosswalks. tongue.gif No seriously, she sings this little song when looking both ways, it's so cute. She can spell her name. And she's doing very well drinking from a cup.

What is your most fond memory of your child? Wow, there are so many, but the one that sticks out in my mind as most recent is her telling me I'm her best friend. wub.gif

Peter - I dont know he's stil young. Maybe the first time he smiled. I was there. I didn't tell henry though. I never do when Peter does anything new. I just let him have his moment.

Rick... Hmmm... He isn't up yet. Let's see... Made level 50 in his online game.
John got just finished acting in high school production of Damn Yankees.
Erin busted her mouth open, is on a soft diet and isn't complaining (too much).
Kaitlin changed her hair (Kaitlin doesn't do change).

What is the last thing your child(ren) did that made you laugh?
Rick talks about his online character as if it were real.
John acted in his high school play.
Erin makes pancakes (she can eat those) and they're never the same twice.
Kaitlin asked if I noticed the change in her hair style and became indignant when I admitted I hadn't.

What is your child's/children's latest acheivements?
Rick... well we'll see about that.
John got accepted to Drexe U. as an architectural engineering student.
Erin passed her written driver test.
Kaitlin's grades have come up to honor roll level... Keep up the good work kiddo!

What is your most fond memory of your child(ren)?
Rick making a goal in lacrosse after being savagely attacked from behind by an opposing player (showed guts, determination and skill).
John winning regionals in Science Fair (more because he didn't let it go to his head than his actual winning).
Erin... aww heck, just about everything Erin accomplishes leaves me with a feeling of wonder.
Kaitlin just sitting cuddled up next to dad.

At this very moment...

What is the last thing your child did that impressed you? Just a few minutes ago Blakely was in my arms and I was rocking her and while I was singing to her she was humming (well something close to that) as if she was trying to sing along, I almost cried beause it was so sweet. wub.gif

What is the last thing your child did that made you laugh? A little bit ago I was giving Blakely a bath in the kitchen sink and she thought it was funny to spash, so she would look at me and splash real big (it was going all over) and smile. happy.gif

What is your child's latest acheivements? Well, Blakely has not begun to crawl yet, but she does get up on all fours and rocks back and forth. It is really cute! happy.gif

What is your most fond memory of your child? My fondest memory of Blakely would have to be the moment she was born. It was the greatest moment of my life. And that night in the hospital, John and I didn't want to be in different beds so the three of us were all in my little hospital bed. John and I were smashed and I was holding and nursing Blakely the whole night! wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif

MommyToAshley replied: Ok, you all have made me cry, smile, and laugh out loud! We have some really special kids here! I LOVED reading each and every post!

Here's our answers:

What is the last thing your child(ren) did that impressed you? She impresses me a lot, but the last thing....hmmmm... she put a 24-piece jigsaw puzzle together by herself.

What is the last thing your child(ren) did that made you laugh? We play a game we made up where you say, "Do you eat ____?" And you either fill in the blank with a food or anything else. The other person answers either yes or no, and then if it is not a food, then they have to say what you do with it. Well, we were just playing this game and here's how the conversation went....

I asked, "Do you eat Ears?" And she said, "no, you hear with them!'

That got me started on the body parts, so I asked, "what do you do with your eyes? Ashley said, "You see with them"

I asked, "What do you do with your mouth?"

Ashley said, "You talk with your mouth! And eat too!"

I asked, "What do you do with your nose?'

Ashley reached up and pinched my nose and said, "You go Oink! Oink! Oink!"

HHAAHAHHAHAHAHAHA! rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif
I was laughing so hard I was in tears!

What is your child's/children's latest acheivements? She knows all the sounds that letters make and can words that begin with them. For example, if you ask her what sound "S" makes, she will say "ssssssssss" like ssssssnake. And, she recognized many words by sight now.

What is your most fond memory of your child(ren)? There are so many fond memories... the first hug, the first kiss, the first "I love you". But, I have to say the fondest memory is the first time I held her. I knew my life had changed forever and I had never been so happy!

chloe&tysmommy replied: What is the last thing your child(ren) did that impressed you?

Chloe- finding all of the objects in her "look and find" book!! It's amazing how fast they learn

Tyler- drank from a sippy cup today!!!

What is the last thing your child(ren) did that made you laugh?

Chloe- she was playing 'hide and seek' with Tyler and making him laugh really hard rolling_smile.gif

Tyler- Chloe was dancing around the livingroom and Tyler started clapping his hands laugh.gif

What is your child's/children's latest acheivements?

Chloe- going to the potty all by herself with no help, wanting to dress herself, learning numbers and colors

Tyler- being able to sit up unsupported (has for a little while), claps his hands, holds his own bottle/sippy cup, starting to eat finger foods
and feeds himself now (he especially likes popcorn twists),

What is your most fond memory of your child(ren)?

I would have to say when they were born....I will never forget the day my two precious little babies came into this world wub.gif wub.gif

Thanks Dee Dee that was a great idea....I enjoyed reading about everyone's kiddos wub.gif

MomToJade&Jordan replied: What is the last thing your child(ren) did that impressed you? Jade has a couple of children that she kind of hangs out with here in the courtyard. We were all over at Tonya's house and she pointed at these children and said look Mommy my firends. This was totally out of the blue and I was pretty surprised that she was able to make that association.

What is the last thing your child(ren) did that made you laugh? My Jade is a little singer, she is always making up songs about things. Pair that with a laundry bag wrapped around her shoulders and at the top of her lungs and you get some great comedy. I'm not really sure why she felt she need that bag, but it had me rolling.

What is your child's/children's latest acheivements? We were sitting on the back porch yesterday drawing with Jade's chalk. Well she just started to draw pictures and say look Mommy a fish. She's trying to actually draw things now instead of squigally lines.

What is your most fond memory of your child(ren)? This is a hard one because I have so many. I think the one that sticks in my mind the most was when they placed her on my lap minutes after she was born. She just looked at me with those big blues eyes as if she was measuring me up. That picture is as clear in my mind as the day it happened.

3_call_me_mama replied: Last thing that impressed me....
He amazes me every day with what he knows and can do.... but Wednesday he pushed his stool to the counter got hte bread out of the bread box and got out two slices. Then he pushed his stool over to the toaster, put the bread in adn pushed the level down. Went to the fridge got out the butter and a kid knife from the drawer and went back to the toaster, waited for the toast to pop up. Ble won them, took them out of the toaster and put htem on a plate put butter on them and brought them to me.

Made me laugh....
After he handed me the toast i said oh thank you Cameron and he said "um, they're not yours. I just need you to hold them so i can get orange juice and a chair!"

Latest Achievements....
POTTY TRAINED HIMSELF!! Knows his address and what state his grandparents live in, can build a 50 piece jigsaw puzzle all by himslef and has started drawing thing intentionally and labeling them , He drew 4 circles and made arms off them and eyes said that's our family, you me kathleen and daddy wub.gif wub.gif
and i love all of us!

OOPS>>> FOrgot fondest moment...
Probably the moment i looked into his beautiful face when he was born and i kept saying over adn over, I;m your mommy, you're finally here. ANd the times he looks at me and says :ah, i love you mommy bawling.gif wub.gif

3_call_me_mama replied: Now for Kathleen

She impresses me by how quick she changes. She goes from one day laying on the floor like a little baby, to sitting herslef up and crawling! ALso she knows how to express what she wants to us. (She makes chewing motions when she is hungry, she sucks her lower lip when she wants to nurse, ribs her eyes when she wants to go to sleep and reaches up and says uh, uh, to be picked up!0

Makes me laugh....
She knows very clearly what sh ewants, and she will wiggle and squirm until she gets what she wants, than she does a little happy dance when she gets what she wants.

lATEST ACHIEVEMENTS:
Sitting up and staying there, rolling everywhere, starting to crawl, giving kisses, getting food from tray to mouth, (cheerios, muffin etc) drinking from a sippy cup, 2 lower teeth have almost popped through and top two are through (barely but still through), getting toys that are out of reach and playing with the bead on her jumperoo (she focuses very intently on them!) OH YEAH >.. and she says DADA!! (DH is very pleased smile.gif ) wub.gif

Fondest moment ....
Looking into her eyes when she was born adn she was crying adn she reached out grabbed my finger adn stopped crying adn stared intently back into my eyes. bawling.gif wub.gif

Josie83 replied: Just saw this and HAD to fill it in wink.gif All of these answers are so sweet! wub.gif

What is the last thing your child(ren) did that impressed you?
Cassie impresses me every day. but recently she has been counting SO well and associating counting with amount . . . so she'll count seven things and say "I've got seven puzzle pieces!" or whatever. She's quite good with her letters too, she can write her C for Cassie and also she does her ss as well . . . she's working on the other letters! Everything this child does amazes me to be honest! wub.gif

What is the last thing your child(ren) did that made you laugh?
Cassie is always making us laugh. I think the last thing she did that made us laugh was when she was dancing around the living rooms with Blaise this afternoon and he picked her up and threw her above his head, and knocked her head on the lamp. We were all sitting there waiting for her to cry and she just said "I bopped my head, but I'm not going to cry! I'm a big girl now! I just want a hug from my mummy" and she's trying SO hard to stop the tears from coming! Actually, it sort of made me sad for her but the way she says things also makes us laugh!

What is your child's/children's latest acheivements?
Her counting and letters. She's trying so hard to write, and she can write a couple of numbers. She can read stories with us that she's learned by heart and her speech is so good.

What is your most fond memory of your child(ren)?
There are so many. Not a memory as such, but I love it when she hugs and kisses Jaosn and I and tells us that she loves us. She likes to tell us that she loves us to the moon and back. The first time that she said mummy, and daddy, and the first time she told me she lovedme spontaneously melted m heart too. I love her more and more every day she is just perfect! wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif xx
