mckayleesmom wrote: that can't wait till their children are old enough to take over housework?....LOL DISHES are in McKaylees future. I hate doing dishes.
5littleladies replied: My girls are old enough to unload the dishwasher for me. I hate unloading! I can't wait until they are old enough to do laundry!!
My2Beauties replied: Me neither! I'm with ya honey! Desiree is 9 and she still thinks we're her maids though! last night she said hey woman go get me some Big Red and make it snappy! You know what..I did it too
mckayleesmom replied: I like laundry...just hate dishes...LOL
mckayleesmom replied: SUCKER!!!.....I would have said "excuse you"......by the way...that is the yuckiest pop ever....
ammommy replied: No you didn't Did you at least pour it over her little mouthy head
Alec will put away the silverware from the dishwasher. I pay him a quarter each time for his piggy bank and he thinks he's rich I'm with you, I hate putting away dishes.
DVFlyer replied: Chores- Isn't that why god invented kids??????
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Amen to that one!
TANNER'S MOM replied: Well let me give you an insight to teenagers.
Mom: Can you do the dishes
Teenager walks to the counter and washes her dish , her fork only
Mom: I thought I asked u to do the dishes
Teenager: I did
Mom: When?
Teenager: Five minutes ago
this is the way it is with laundry too. They only was their clothes, towels etc They are more helpful when they are little. The little ones do it for approval the only the older ones do anything is for MONEY! So be prepared to pay for it@
MommyToAshley replied: You haven't started them on laundry yet? heeeheee. Ashley already knows how to fold wash cloths, and she thinks it is a treat to help. I can't wait until she is old enough to fold other clothes, of course by then she won't think it is fun any more.
5littleladies replied: Oh they do love to fold the laundry, but I want them to do all of it!
iluvmysweetiepies replied: Yup. That's pretty much how it goes.
Mom: Put the dishes in the dishwasher Teenager: Okay I'll do it in a minute
15 min later
Mom: Did you do the dishes? Teenager: Oh, I forgot! I'll do them right now.
20 minutes later
Mom: Did you do the dishes yet? Teenager: Oops! Mom: *grumbling*
Guess who ends up doing the dishes?
It's kind of weird but if I'm gone for a couple hours and Ashlyn is home by herself or is babysitting her sisters she'll usually vaccum the whole house for me. Of course, if I ask her too she acts like it's the end of the world.
kimberley replied: i am right there with you!!! the boys already help with some stuff . they bring the recycle boxes from the curb to the garage for me, they bring some of the laundry down the stairs for me and they love to dust! we tried dishes but they just make a mess and it takes them 20 minutes to wash one spoon .
