OK Guys!! - In need of some get well wishes..

Taven spiked a fever on friday after we went to the beach..dh said it was b/c I didn't have a shirt on him but I disagreed and didn't put one on him for that reason (he was SO hot). Fri/Sat/Sun night he was up every hour, just about crying and it was one of those pathetic, nothing can calm them down cries.

Well, on top of that, he started crying the other night when i was brushing his bottom teeth and i noticed he has 2 little canker sores. He bit it when we were at the gym and his face went straight into the floor..then he did it again the next day at the park (poor thing has my clumsiness). so he sprouted those 2 sores where his teeth went into his gums..

And if that wasn't enough..i was looking into his mouth and noticed he has a sore at the back of his throat..that's why he hasn't been eating much...

AND he turns 2 tomorrow..

can i get some get well vibes from ya all? pleeeeeeaasssseee!!!

i can't get him to take any medicine but was able to trick him into a teaspoon of motrin..i'm hoping that will knock him out for at least a few hours tonight cause he rEALLY needs the sleep!! so far so good!! *crossing fingers*

Just curious, what do you think the sore on the back of his throat is from? Does strept throat look like that? I am only asking because he has a fever too.

you know i'm not really sure what it is but looks like when you get a sore throat. he only has one little sore from what i can see and his fever goes up and down - he's still not eating but nursing around the clock and i'm just trying to make him happy. he'll eat like a couple bites (noodles/rice) but not much at all but we still have wet diapers and bm's. i'm gonna play it by ear tomorrow and if he doesn't seem better than i'll take him to the dr.

but on a side note - i was able to sneak away from him for an hour or so and decorate the downstairs and wrap all his presents. he had such a blast opening all his presents and playing with his stuff. hopefully he'll be better by friday when we are having his family party at chuck-e-cheese!

jcc64 replied: I hope he gets well soon! The 1st thing that comes to mind when I hear sores in or around the mouth or throat is coxsackie virus. Strep looks more like white pus in the back of the throat (sorry for tmi), and is often accompanied by a very particular smell on the breath.
Anyway, hope he recovers and enjoys his party!
