New book out - that I would never read!

Then she was asked whether she would ever have kids herself and she said "Oh NOOOOO, my husband and I want to be able to run off to Rome in a moments time if we wanted to".

ihate people that have that attitude towards other people...grrr!

Not only b/c they will never experience the love and joy a child can bring into your life, but also b/c hating anyone or anything must take a lot of energy. What a sad way to live.  She must be a miserable human being...even with Rome at her fingertips. What pleasure can you find in something like traveling to Rome if you have so much hatred in your heart?

Its right for some and wrong for others.....But to think that you are better then someone who choses to have children is ignorant..plain and simple. Im sure that she can't stand when people ask her "when shes gonna have a baby", but she is doing the same thing by judgeing those who have kids.

I am sure if asked my friends there are a few that still aren't married and don't have kids and RARELY come over they would probably have some issues like her. But oh well to each thier own. I don't understand how or why people think that kids hold you back from traveling etc... My parents took us ALL over the world when we were kids and never thought twice about it. Its not like you can't go to rome at a moments notice with kids if you choose to, yes you have school and stuff but ultimately they are your kids take them where you want, i know my folks did. I went to so many neat countries and sites as a kid (egypt, isreal, cozumel, istanbul, england etc...)
Ahhhh that saying i always think of when i hear stupid stuff is "stupid people shouldn't breed" so maybe she is doing the world a favor!
I can't imagine saying I HATE anyones kids even if they are the BIGGEST brats that walk the earth, you know.
I would rather 100 beautiful kids then one pair of prada shoes!
Brias3 replied: How ignorant. And its not like we're talking about an obscure topic. She's criticizing having kids, something that 9 out of 10 people probably do or will do. It's definitely those kinds of people who I pray really WILL NOT ever have kids. With an attitude like that, I can only imagine the parent she'd be....

luvmykids replied: What a self absorbed and miserable person! The choice not to have kids is fine but the reasoning behind it ... And how judgemental can she be? All I know is having kids has made me a person I never thought I could be, I have my bad moments but I can honestly say my kids bring out the best in me. For some people it just isn't the right thing but to say she'd show you her shoes is a completely ridiculous comparison. And yes, I can get carried away bragging about my kids, but I'm respectful enough of others that I allow them to do the same, if they don't have kids I respect their passions and whatever is going on in their life too.
Nina J replied: Personally I'm glad she doesn't want kids, who'd want a mother like that? I think she will regret it when she's 80, sitting at home with no children and grandchildren visiting her. She, or her husband, will be completly alone one day, and even if we lose our spose in our old age, we have our kids to love and be loved by.
TANNER'S MOM replied: Anyone who has an opionion like hers has a very small heart. I understand not wanting to parent, which for her is a very wise decision. But to not be able to see the wonderment of a child or baby at any level is very sad.
I hate to tell her this, but the children of today are the ones who will be wiping her old hinny in the nursing home in a few years. I hope they are a little kinder than she is and their hearts a little bigger.

I too, am glad she has not had the blessing of a child. It sounds like they would not be treated very well at all! I wonder how you can help but smile at a child?!? How the joy and laughter in their faces (most of the time) can not touch you in some small way...Aimee is right! What a sad way to go through life! In someways I would like to thank her,because as I sit here thinking about all that she will miss out on, I am reminded of all that I have!  She can have Rome-I have a Princess Castle in my livingroom!!!
