Need ideas - for large pantry organization

Our Lil' Family wrote: My new pantry is a very large walk in type with the shelves that are at least 12 inches deep. How can I organize my can goods without the ones against the wall getting lost? I want to be able to see what I have without having to move the front rows....any ideas?

luvmykids replied: I have a thing I got at Target, it looks like steps, it has three tiers so the rows are staggered. I use a double lazy susan too.

sparkys2boys replied: What about shelfing that slides?? My mother has these and they are so great. It's like a drawer but only deeper for cans. When you want to see what is there,simply slide it open.

Hillbilly Housewife replied: I just group all the same ones together. I don't buy much variety... besides, 12 inches deep you still can't have more than 3 or 4 big cans of stuff.

I have some coated wire baskets that slide onto the shelf and hang under. Great for storing baggies/wraps/foils, and other things so long as they don't fall through!

Store your sometimes used appliances on the floor or bottom shelving to free up your kitchen counter space. Pots and pans too if you don't have enough cupboard room.

I have 4 large shelves with sliding doors. I dedicate one row to breakfast stuff, the next one up is canned goods/boxed items, the next two up are baking/spices (I use these things often!)

I also have those "step" things. They work out pretty good in the spice cabinet, but the ones I have don't seem wide enough for cans.

Our pantry is really small, but I still have trouble seeing the labels. Scotty organizes it in groups and has all the labels forward facing. But I come along and mess them up b/c I can't see what's underneath/behind/beside, etc.

I think they come in different sizes, I have one that is a little small but with rubber on the "steps" and the cans stay, but I also have bigger ones that my big cans fit on too.
