Natural? Meds? C-section?

MomToMany replied: I plan on going all natural without any meds. I've done it before, and I'm sure I could do it again.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: I PLAN on having a natural unmedicated birth..... but I might take a shot of demerol jsut before pushing, like last time...unless I have to have a c-section.
A&A'smommy replied: I HATE pain so im definitly getting an epidural as soon as possible..but im thinking next time when i know a little more about what to do and expect im might just get stadol..or go natural not sure yet though....
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Oh....EPIDURAL!! I know I couldn't do au-naturel. I am going to be induced and that pitocin is a PAIN! It really brings on the contractions fast and hard. I don't do pain meds (like demerol), just numbing meds.
kimberley replied: in all 3 births, i momentarily fell in love with the epi man! i could have labored jade w/o meds but pushing would have made my head spin! i don't like any drugs that make me loopy, just numb.
jem0622 replied: I had three different deliveries so far. My first (birthdaughter) was pit enduced and I got an episiotomy and an epi. With Nathan, I got something in the cervadil family b/c I was stuck at 4cm and I got an epi. With Gabe I was going to get an epi but was working through the pain so well that I couldn't get anything in time so he was born w/o meds. I think that for my last I'll go natural again b/c it will probably go quickly and it wasn't awful. A little more difficult until my water broke and it was time to push...but it wasn't too bad.

FroggyJK replied: I would like to try to do it natural, but I have to be realistic.
My last two I had to be induced with pitocin and ended up with an epidural. I am hoping it will be less painfull without pitocin and I can handle it without than epidural. But more likely than not I will get an epidural.
mama3x replied: I am planning (hoping?) for natural with no meds but seeing as I too have had all different deliveries...
My 1st was induced with oxytocin, had an episiotomy and an epidural, they had to use forceps.
My 2nd was an emer c-sect at 27 weeks but it was done in such a way I can do VBAC.
A part of me is planning on the natural however another part of me has to be real and admit that the c-sect recovery was easier.
I guess we'll see when it happens!
mitchzgirl replied: I really would like to have a natural birth, but I might give in and get some pain meds, definately NOT an epidural, though.
toddzgurl replied: I want to try to go all natural but if I can't I will have narcotics!!!
grapfruit replied: I picked "Natural, no meds" b/c that's how I had Isabelle. HOWEVER, I always keep an open mind!
I was lucky. She was SO easy. Not even a 10. Now don't get me wrong, it HURT, but it wasn't "going to kill me" hurt. I couldn't believe the nurse even ASKED me if I wanted an epidural. Um, no!
edited to add: Oh and I would really like to NOT have an epeciodomy (sp?) b/c I hated that...still have pain from it.
youngmomofone replied: I'm a c-section mama. My doc would still let me have a vbac if I wanted, so that's something to think about next time. Im in awe of all the ladies who delivers or have delivered without any pain medication. I'm so scared of the ring of fire that I hear about lol.
grapfruit replied: I don't remember that at all. I have a friend or two that said they had it, and my mom remembers it from my brother (and he's 20!). But that's not something I really experienced. Don't know if its everyone that gets it and I just didn't remember, or one of those "everyone is different" things. Could be that she came so fast I just didn't have it for long...
youngmomofone replied: I was told they felt it when the baby crowns before coming out, so if your daughter came fast then it's def possible you got lucky
It's something I am interested in trying, but it still scares me hehe.
