Mystery dinner - ever been to one?
mysweetpeasWil&Wes wrote: DH and I are invited to a mystery dinner this Saturday. We both were assigned characters which we need to dress up as. I am the widow Mama Rosa, of the murdered guy, so I have to wear all black, plus I'm the chef of the restaurant, so they said ladels and spoons optional. DH is my son, Marco something, who wants to be a pro soccer player but has to wait tables at the family restaurant instead. So he needs soccer gear, but waiter apron optional.
So I am sick today, achy and in NO mood to shop around for costumes. Plus it is COLD outside. Help please. DH is a hockey player IRL, not soccer, so if you can think of some make-shift costume ideas, as in made-at-home, please let me know. I'm seriously desperate.
I also have to bring an Italian appetizer. You guys all know I like to cook, but I'm in no mood to even go through my recipes. We don't eat pork.
Oh, and the point to my post, please tell me if you have done one of these mystery dinners before and what I should expect. I'm really in no mood for acting......lol. Just give me the wine and food.
Boo&BugsMom replied: I went to one in high school and it was SO much fun!!!!!! You'll have a blast. You don't have to "act", but think of it like a live action Clue game!
CantWait replied: You could bring Italian placenta.
Opps, sorry that's another thread. Sounds like fun though, enjoy.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Rae I wish you felt better b/c I think you are going to have a blast. I love mystery dinners. I went to one years ago with one of my best friends. We had so much fun. I've been dying to do another one every since.
MommyToAshley replied: I've never been to one, but it sounds like fun. I am like you, I probably would dread all the preparation... just give me food and drink. LOL. But, I bet you'll have fun once you get there.
Anthony275 replied: bring tortellini or something like that
MoonMama replied: I don't know about costumes sorry Rae. But how fun I have always wanted to go to one, so has my mom. Enjoy and I want to hear all about it.
luvmykids replied: I've never been but my uncle and aunt used to have them a lot and when they quit their friends seriously formed a mob on their front lawn
