My "little" girl at homecoming

TANNER'S MOM wrote: Brittany's homecoming. Man this was a hard year..she was nominated as a maid and wasn't planning on going..so we had to find a dress.. It isn't easy when your her size. We finally found this one for $20.00 at TJ Maxx. Everything else would've needed altered. We didn't find any heels..she has to wear flats. She wears a girls 2-3 and they didn't come in heels unless you order them. So we did the best we could.

Also, I knew she was little but I didn't realize she was "that" little until I saw these pics..It kind of saddened me. She is little, and very beautiful!

I think its good to be small, well until you are thrown in a situation that you need clothes quickly. She looks gorgeous though! Hope she had a good time!

Mel, she seems like such a wonderful person. Obviously, her size doesn't matter to her friends. And, besides, I was always on the tall side and I was always jealous of the shorter girls. I hated being as tall or taller than some of the boys.

One of my lifelong best friends is 4'11". Our other one is 6'. We always looked pretty comical together (still do). Being petite is really a nice asset when you're older, though.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Oh Mel, she is absolutely gorgeous! I can relate to being small. I still could fit into kid's sizes when I was in highschool. It was definitely difficult finding dresses and "cool" clothes, but they are out there. Back in the day, we had one of those 3,5,7 stores and they sold size 0. So that worked for me. Also, I found that vintage dresses worked too since women were really petite in the 40's...I know that may not be the cool thing to wear these days, but I found some really pretty velvet dresses that were just my size and inexpensive. I know Ann Taylor Loft sells petite sizes, have you tried there?

Anyhow, she is just stunning and much more classy in her flats and cute dress than some of those other girls.

Yes it's a new haircut. She got it when school started. I didn't think I would like it ..but I love it.
