TeagansMom609 wrote: Teagan has a stomach virus. Its so horrible. She is throwing up so much. I feel sooooooo bad! I left work early to take her to the Dr. and they tried to give her pedialite but she just throws it back up. Shes napping now, poor baby is probably exhausted. sad.gif Luckily she doesnt have a fever. Did your kids get it, and what did the Dr.'s suggest?

I hope it doesnt last long!

PS. She got weighed today she's a whopping 18 lbs. 4 oz

mckayleesmom replied: McKaylee had that last year...try giving her a saltine cracker right before you give her the pedialyte...that was the only way Mckaylee could keep the pedialyte down. I think its because the cracker helps absorb the pedialyte. Hope she feels better soon. thumb.gif

Boys r us replied: No, not that exactly, I just picked Braedon up and he has MASSIVE DIARREAH!! OHHHHHH I can't deal with this! and poor little guy, I asked him if his belly hurt him and he said,"No, my butt hurts"

Anyhow, I hope that all of the kids get better soon!

My2Beauties replied: Hanna just got over this and it lasted like 5 days!! It was awfuls he was throwing up constantly! I just filled her with fluids (all clear nothing colored) and made sure she stayed hydrated! The doc said there isn't really much you can do for it, it's just a virus that has to work itself out! sad.gif Hope she feels better soon! Oh yeah is she having diarrhea too?

mckayleesmom replied: awww..poor kid....nothing like your butt burning sad.gif

TeagansMom609 replied:
No, no diarrhea yet. Man, Hannah had it for 5 days? OMG, I hope this one is only a 24 hour virus! Was she throwing the fluids back up?

My2Beauties replied: Yes she threw everything up especially when she would start to cry over something...she was very irritable and everything was causing her to whine so she was crying a lot and it was causing her to throw up plus the doctor's vists she had to go on would upset her she threw up twice each time at the doctor's office! She started throwing up first then came the diarrhea! I'm talking terrible diarrhea, she pooped all over everything blink.gif Her bed, the floor, anything she was standing or laying on! I washed enough clothes for an entire year during that week! She got a terrible diaper rash due to the diarrhea that I am still trying to get to go away! I hope Teagan's is a 24 hour thing too, I really do! Keep us updated!

loveydad replied: We just got over this. V K T and N all had it.

ediep replied: Jay had the rotavirus last year, massive diarreah, vomiting, and fever. He ended up a little dehydrated and w spend 3 days in the hospital.

i sure hope that virus works its way out soon!!!!!

aspenblue1 replied: Isabella had the rhotavirus last year. She started out puking about 24 hours then direah she ended up in the hospital severly dehydrated for 5 days.

Mommy2BAK replied: Poor baby Teagan. I hope she gets well soon. And I know how you must be feeling, sometimes I think their illnesses hurt us more. wub.gif

A&A'smommy replied: OMG I hope we don't get this, poor Teagan that is horrible and on the weekend too sad.gif I hope its just the 24 hour things wink.gif

Shaykinmom replied: My son got this back in December. He wasn't keeping anything except pedilite down than he wouldn't keep that down. After not having anything for about 24 hours I went to the DR, he gave me a suppository that stopped him from throwing up and it worked. I slowly gave him the pedilite again with 2 day he was back to normal.

Shaykinmom replied: I hope your little one feels better.

cdefmomma replied: I don't know if you remember but I posted a month ago about my daughter having roto-virus. It sounds like that is what your baby has. All I can say give a VERY small amount of liquid to her at a time like a teaspoon at a time. I am sorry you are going through this. If he seems dehyderated at all or starts to run a fever get her to the doc. ASAP! GOOD LUCK!!!! And keep us updated!!!

TeagansMom609 replied: Well its 2:30 am, and we just got back from the hospital. We were there forever! The ER was packed with kids. Well anyway they gave her an IV, and a suppository. She actually wanted something to drink when we were at the hospital and she kept it down. I hope this goes away fast!

Kirstenmumof3 replied: grouphug.gif When my children had this stomach virus when they were babies, our doctor recommended that we start giving them an ounce of water/juice/pedialyte wait 20 minutes and then give them another ounce. Gradually working up. I hope she feels better soon! grouphug.gif

Alice replied: Four of the 5 of us have had it in the last 2 weeks-- I had it yesterday!! YUCK!!

Hope she feels better!!
