Molar Pregnancies

cowgirl wrote: Hi everyone, its been a while since ive posted anything, but i felt you should all be aware of molar pregnancies, i just had one, and its pretty devistating. I found out at 14 week that it was a molar. This is a pregnancy where the placenta forms cysts and no baby is ever formed. and these form fluid filled sacs that make a pregnancy seem normal, the uterus grows and hormone levels climb.

I dont wish this one anyone, its horrible. I knew something was wrong because i was spotting lots, and the er docs, and my doctor (not anymore) just ignored me and wouldnt even look at me until they couldnt get a heartbeat.

take care everyone

mckayleesmom replied: I also had a Molar pregnancy before I had my first daughter......Im sorry this happened to you. I know exactly how you feel about them not believing you. I had an extremely cruel Er doctor that made me feel like an idiot. Ps...I got pregnant with McKaylee about 2 weeks later...I was never told to wait a year. huh.gif

cowgirl replied: Hi everyone. Just a quick note.
as you know the molar came back, and now it has developed into a "malignant cancer" which is highly treatable 95%-100% success rate. Ive been in the hospital over the weekend to due ctscans, chest xray etc. It hasnt spread very far just to my chest. Im now on chemotherapy treatments for 2 weeks. Im very upbeat about the whole thing, the fortunate part for me is they caught it very early, and will be treated successfully. thanks again for all your suppurt hug.gif
