Kaitlin'smom replied: lucky you, I had to drive in it. Kaitlin had school but she is skipping today, I did not want the extra drive, so she is at the sitters all day which is fine, her kids dont have school.

Jeesh! I was watching the news the morning and thought everyone was off

I spent the morning shoveling my front walk out for customers. My driveway however, was snow-blowed by my neighbor! Gotta love nice neighbors!!!

her school does not close very often and even Dayton pubic was open. What a drive it took me 1.5 hours for a normal 35 minute trip to work.

grapfruit replied: Yikes!! Dayton public is out of "calamity" days due to all the hot weather in the summer. They're going to be in for a rough year....They SAID they wouldn't take it into account when deciding to close or not, but I don't know. It has to play into at least a little...

I dunno, but when they do get delayed or closed DH can also go in later. I am not sure I get that but he works downtown.

MotherForever2043 replied: Yay!! I LOVE snow! We got our first medium storm over the weekend, there was school though. But there was a 2 hour delay. I think should of just closed. It was pretty bad optside. So I decided to not send them to school. Esther loving school and all, she was mad at me for not letting her go. There wouldn't of been anyone able to drop her off or pick her off.

mom21kid2dogs replied: They didn't cancel or delay here until after they picked up the senior high and middle school so they were in and the elementary schools were cancelled. There were lots of disgruntled high schoolers today!!!
We went sledding for 4 hours total this AM & PM~so fun!! then she coerced Stephen to take her out for another hour when I went to work this PM.

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Ok....i've got you all beat, I'm sure. We have like 2 feet of snow. The idiots who plow our parking lot went and shoved the snow on the left side of our vehicle...and so we can't really get in\out of the car without having snow up to our knees.

The snowbanks on the corners are like 5 1\2 to 6 feet high. This is ridiculous. We've had, no lie, more snow this past week than we had ALL OF LAST WINTER.

NB has got you beat easy. At least, 3 feet of snow. It's rediculous here. The D&^n snowplows snowed in our driveway, dh actually had to come and ask me to help him clear it out for work Tuesday morning.

I'm with ya on the amount of snow though, I think we've had more the one night then all last winter. It didn't start nearly this early last year either.

I was sick in bed. I SO wanted to take Anthony outside to play in, but I had some kind of stomach bug and my tummy was cramping some bad, throwing up and all that good stuff. Needless to say I didn't enjoy it at all.
