Leapfrog

holley79 wrote: Anyone buy Leapfrog products? I bought Annika the Lulu Spider. She loves it. I was looking at the Baby leapfrog book pads and the leapfrog activity tables. I was thinking of buying something like this for Annika for Christmas. Any suggestions?

TIA hug.gif

mom2my2cuties replied: We love Leapfrog! smile.gif

Especially Baby Tad smile.gif (And the girl version of this too)

Both our kids have had lots of leap pad stuff. It really helped my son with his development.

holley79 replied:
Thanks. I was looking at the Leap pads and the books. I also like the dolls. Ugg so many choices. rolleyes.gif

kit_kats_mom replied: We are big into leapfrog around here. Both of my girls LOVED the drum that does letters and numbers. Neither one of them played much with the alpha ball though. I thought it was cool but it just never captured their attention for long. rolleyes.gif The My First LeapPad was the same way...neither of them really ever played much with it. K is addicted to her L-Max now though. rolling_smile.gif

Their stuff is pretty pricey but it's well made and educational. Nothing can beat blocks, puzzles, dolls, books and balls though.

CantWait replied: The leapfrog drum is cool. Anthony got this for his first birthday and he loves it. You can either drum numbers to 10, the alphabet, or music, and it's really not that loud or annoying.

I'm thinking of getting him the LeapPad this year.

kimberley replied: we have the caterpillar, the alphabet frog, the radio, the baby gym (around the world), and my first leap pad. Jade loves it! and she has loved the caterpiller since she was tiny. thumb.gif

Cece00 replied: We have a bunch of stuff..

The two that come to mind as favorites are the drum & the baby Tad

punkeemunkee'smom replied: LOVE Leapfrog in our house! The drum is great for that age! Both the ABC and Number catterpiller are cool! Lilly and Tad (the dolls) are awesome! We had the both little ones and the big baby Tad thumb.gif I could go on and on.... laugh.gif

boyohboyohboy replied: we love the leap frog stuff, and have baby tad also, but we got the play around table, and the alphabet phonic stuff for the refrig.
There stuff is durable and fun.

BAC'sMom replied: we love leapfrog too at our house. thumb.gif

ashtonsmama replied: My MIL just bought Ashton one of those LeapFrog Activity tables, and I can't wait until he's old enough to really enjoy it! I may get sick of the noises though...

luvbug00 replied: Leaprfrog is the best! all of it! tongue.gif

flirtycuddle replied: I have the leapfrog little touches for my dd and she loves the thing. If she sees the bag she flips out if I dont let her play. We also bought her the alphebet pal but she just swung it around by the cord and actually wacked me with it the day after Xmas so it went back to the store and got her somethign diff.

Off topic but did anyone hear about the leapfrog recall?? The leapfrog learn around playground activity center for entrapment hazard.

my2monkeyboys replied: Yep, we love it here too! Baby Tad rocks, but the alpha-ball thing wasn't all that interesting to Will. He has the word whammer (which I recommend instead of just the phonics, since it does the phonics and words) and a writing leap pad. Both are great! Also, he has the Letter Factory and Word Factory DVDs, and loves them to death!
Can't say enough about Leapfrog stuff...

ediep replied: we have lots of leap frog things. Jason had the ABC ball when he was a baby and now that he's older he loves the DVD's

Nathansmom replied: We love the Learning Playground! Nathan can't get enough of it! That and the Fridge farm.

Maddy'sMommy replied: Maddy loves the drum. We have the reading pad too , but so far she is not that interested in it....she would rather me read a regular book. Maybe she is too young to enjoy it yet.

PrairieMom replied: We love leappad here. We have little Tad, and both the my first leap pad and the baby leap pad. They are favorite toys and perfect for car trips.

Boo&BugsMom replied:
YES! I absolutely love all the Leapfrog products. The infant Leappad is awesome! Tanner has had that one, the my first lap pad, and now has the leap pad plus writing. There isnt' anything I would not recommend by them to be honest.

Boo&BugsMom replied: Here are a few more things I would recommend that I think were not mentioned.

I also love the Alphabet Caterpillar. The only bad thing I discovered on it is that is lets you spell a couple naughty words if you push them all right in a row, it sounds the letters all out. I'm sure a child is not going to know how to do that though. Let's just say I got bored at work one day! laugh.gif

Thank you for the links. I was looking at the activity table.

Thank you all for your input. I think I am going to go buy a few things for her. I'm going to see if KMart carries leapfrog so I can use layaway.

Boo&BugsMom replied:
Both Kmart and Walmart do! smile.gif

mummy2girls replied: Jenna has had the leapfrog table which is a big hit becvause the little kids in my dayhome loves it! She has the leapfrog frog stuufed toy, you press buttons and it plays tunes and bedtimes tunes, and she has the leapfrog books..

holley79 replied: Good thing they have them at KMart. thumb.gif

I can't wait to play with them myself now. emlaugh.gif

ataylorm replied: As my wife said, our kids love their stuff. Mikee had a baby tad as a little one, and he went to sleep with it every night. Now he begs for more games for his leappad game thingy every chance he gets. Can't complain that he wants to play educational stuff.

Heather77 replied: We have a ton of Leapfrog stuff. My kids always enjoyed the caterpillar and drum the most.

holley79 replied: I was looking at the caterpiller and the drum also. Our Victim's Advocate had the leap frog drug in her office and I was playing with it last night before I went home. emlaugh.gif I will defiantly be getting that for me, I mean for Annika. rolling_smile.gif

hug.gif Thank you
