Kylie's Birthday Party (pics)

coasterqueen wrote: Well everyone went home, it was a very TIRING but FUN weekend for Kylie's birthday party! Her party was such a hit. She loved her decorations, the party, the pinata, everything was rather perfect which made Ryan and I so happy. The only thing that put a "kink" in our weekend celebration was that Megan was teething badly AND going through a growth spurt. Try nursing a baby 24/7 whose fussy and you have a house full of people ALL weekend long. Not to mention she only gave me about 3 hours sleep each night, but we made it.

I just can't believe how big my Booga is getting. Here's some pics from her party. We forgot to take pics of the decor before the party so balloons were floating lower than normal, etc. That and dh took ALL the pics so well, ya know.

Why of course she does. She always has to have polish on her toes. Sometimes she has to embellish them with nail stickers.

Edit: Thanks for the compliment on the cakes. They weren't professional looking but Kylie LOVED them and they tasted REALLY good if I might add.

thats to cute and sounds like Kait she has her toes and nails finally matching. she LOVES having me do her nails, its the only way I can keep the clipped.

I think the cakes look better than professional ones, you put your love into them and nothing can compaire to that.

I think the cakes look great! Kylie looks tall- is she? Both girls have grown so much- they're both so precious! How did the pinata work out?
Btw- the little girl sitting next to Kylie in the last few pics- Corey has that exact same dress.

Well her 3 yr visit isn't scheduled until the 19th because I got both girls going in at once, but the last we checked she was 37 inches. That was probably a few months ago. I think she's tall, people comment she's tall, so I guess she is. But her weight (around 30 pounds) has stayed the same all year long.

The pinata actually worked out really well. They all thought it was the best thing ever. There were 2 - 1 year olds, 1 - 2 year old, Kylie (3), 1 - 6 year old and 1 - 8 year old. We let all the young kids hit the pinata several times and then we let the 8 year old take a whack at it. He sort of broke it but then we let the younger kids take another stab at it because they were having a blast. They would have kept going all day if they could have. Then Dh went and got the wooden baseball bat and let the 8 year old (his brother) whack it again and that broke it. The kids all got a bag to put their candy in and none of them complained about having more than the other. They thought it was so cool to pick up the candy/toys. Some of the toys cracked after DH's brother whacked it with the wooden bat, but no biggie. I was very glad we did it.

Depends on what kind of cake you want. They were really good tasting cakes though. I and DH was actually impressed at myself. I used buttercreme frosting and it actually tasted professional.
