Johnny is in the hospital

I was thinking virus and he did have roseolla earlier this month...but... he has a kidney infection and he stopped eating so lost a pound. since he doesn't exactly have any cushioning for loosing weight he was admitted Thursday night. he really liked the ambulance ride from the ER where I took him and the children's hospital where he is now. His left kidney is inflamed but they aren't concerned. This morning they checked to see if he was refluxing to his kidneys and that came back clear. The GI is going to go in through his feeding tube to look at the fundo (reflux surgery he had in December) to see if maybe too much of his stomach was wrapped up if that comes back clear he will be sent home on appetite stimulators so he will hopefully take in more calories voluntarily. we have an appt. w/ the Endocrinologist next month but they are calling him in to the hospital so we will know if they have anything to add tomorrow. As of now he is really sleepy, throwing huge fits when ever food comes near him, and hating all the nurses as they seem to have a need to wake him up but he's pretty good.

today has been...fun...
He ate 2 gram crackers this morning...thats it. he freaks out screaming and yelling if i even think about giving him milk and a couple times today he would take food and pretend to eat it just to get angry and throw it. the Endocrinologist isn't coming now because a repeat thyroid test they did came back regular this time. Now all I know about is the upper GI tomorrow. Hopefully they find nothing wrong and we get to go home tomorrow and hope he will start eating once we are out of the hospital...my fear is that either they find something wrong with the GI or they keep him until he starts eating. both are sucky outcomes for me.
