Jenna's Surgery...

We arrived ( Me, Jenna, Marcus and yes Aron) at the stollery at 830am. we get her registered and then we wait about half hour until she was called back. The nurse put some numbing on both hands where they put the iv's. and then ask questions and other fun stuff. Then we get the hospital jammies on her and they send us to the play room. Then about 15 minutes later she was called back again and only i went this time. They put us in a room and we waited for the anestetiologist and surgeon to come talk to us. After they did they put me in an or gown and hat on me and i bring jenna into the or. I held her as they put the iv in her and the numbing of course didnt work so she felt it. She was crying:( Then i had placed her on the table and her feet dangling in front( sitting position) and leaning agaisnt me and within a couple minutes she was out! she passed out mid cry. I laid her down and gave her a kiss and then left. I then took a walk to the bathroom and cried. I then took a few breathes and went back to where aron and marcus was. We went to the cafeteria and was there for 5 minutes and the surgeon appeared. i looked up and said wow that was fast. he said they didnt even start. he did the nasascopy thing( sorry cant spell) and he found out that not only the adenoids was causing her problems but her tonsils too so he asked for our permission to remove those. So i followed him back and signed the forms so he could. so a procedure that would of took 15 minutes took an hour. Then she was in recovery and then we had to wait till she woke up before she was transferred back to the day ward. once she was sent there then we could join her. They called for us and went i went in she looked as if a dump truck hit her. BUt with in 30 minutes she was eating pospsicles, and drinking gingerale and even walking! So she was released faster than expected. The surgeon was amazed on her recovery. But i hear the second day was teh worst. So im waiting for that. She is sleeping with me tonight and poor marcus in jens bed. But she is sleeping very well and so far doing awesome!

I'm so glad Jenna is doing so well she jumped right back so fast and thats good
