I am the office manager for my family's business (plumbing and electrical company) Tripp comes with me everyday

I am also a real estate agent

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: I am a clinical lab scientist. Fancy term, but basically, I run lab tests. Whenever you have blood work done, it is someone like me who gets the results to your doctor. 6am-4:30, 7 days on-7 days off. On my off week, I am stay at home mom. Best of both worlds if you ask me.

My dad is a doctor and has his own practice and I get paid to basically keep everything organized and in order (filing) I go in once a week (7-5) to make sure everything is as it should be and to put things into the computer. He use to have someone else who did but OH that was a nightmare. I started doing it temporarily but he never hired someone else so I stayed doing it lol.

For 22 years I worked in the public child welfare field. Adoption is my passion and I will certainly return to my old job when Olivia is in scholl full time. I only have 8 more years until I can retire!!

So yeah, I'm a sahm and also a daycare provider to 2 other children.

DH and I run our own business doing web site design, custom programming, database development, etc. As for what I do in the business... I do the some of the design work, HTML and account maintenance, sales, and I also do the accounting. DH does the custom programming and the database work.

I do want to go back to school and get a degree where i can work with the severe handicapped and to help rehabilitate the kids that are in accidents and such... its called rehabilitation practioner.. Something ive always wanted to do:)

madmom04242004 replied: I am Traci and I am a CPO -Certified Paraoptometric Technician- basically I do all of the testing for an Optometrist. I used to manage the office too, but I had Taylor and decided to stay home. That lasted until someone quit, now I fill in whenever needed, on average I work about one day a week. Of course it never works out like that, I will go two or three months without working then I have to work everyday for a week! I love my job though. My doc never hired anyone to take my place, he does what I don't do now, so I still have my own office. That way if I am in a pinch and my sitter is unavailable my little princess can go with me. She pretends to type, she likes to take the track ball off of my mouse, and she basically reeks havic! So at the end of the day I am pulling my hair out thinking..."Why did I say I could work today?" But really, I have an awesome job! Anyone looking for a new profession, try the optometry field!

madmom04242004 replied: Traci again! I guess I should also mention that I am mom to Carissa 11, Spencer 8, and Taylor 16 months. I have a four year old mutt named Scooter who is wonderful, and a 40 year old husband named Jeff, who is wonderful...most of the time. I also have six acres containing a pumpkin patch, an herb garden and a flower garden. All that said, now you know why I am not on here until midnight every night!

punkeemunkee'smom replied: I am a SAHM Waited a loooong time for that dream to come true!! I also have a small craft business(hair bows,jewelry,photo albums...etc) that I enjoy. But as Tay grows I seem to have less time to make things. We are homeschooling already and she really enjoys learning so we do quite a bit of that during the day! (I should own stock in mead paper-she LOVES to practice her letters! ) We also travel with DH.There is an arena behind our house and we have bull riding and team ropings sooo it can get pretty busy around here!! But I really love this life!

~ I studied for awhile with a midwife my mom used and concidered becoming a midwife. I still may when Tay gets older. I could be a doula now but if Dh is not home there is nobody to watch Tay if I would get 1 of those middle of the night calls that the baby is coming! Oh and I help a good friend of mine with their business bills and paperwork. WOW! now I remember why I am so tired sometimes!

I went to a website that offered it. It was free adn didn't cost anything. I can PM you the link if you want. It's a lot of fun and I've made a decent amount of money and get pretty steady work.

As for me I'm a SAHM. Before that I was a full-time student at FSU. Got my BA in music in 2001. I am thinking about starting to sing at weddings and what not. That is pretty steady work and can be done on the weekends.

A mystery shopper is a person that gets paid to shop, and evaluate companies custoomer service etc. Sometimes you just get a free meal (at fridays, chilis, olive garden, etc) other times they pay you adn give you a free meal, othertimes you are evaluating a store's service and get paid so much per visit, othertimes you have to buy something and evaustate the store(you get the item reimbursed and you get paid about 10-25 $) Others are evaluating banks and seeign if they are following the protocal of the headquarters. It's a lot of fun adn I make a decent amount of $ each month (hey I shop too much anyway so why not get paid for it:))
