If you were on trading spaces - what room would you have done?

kit_kats_mom replied: Living room/dining room. We live in a townhouse and the loft overlooks the living room. The room itself is really small with an angled wall where the fireplace is and 2 story ceilings. I know someone could do something cool with it but I just don't have the energy. Oh! But NO HILDI! I liked her designs in the beginning but now...she makes me sick. I would like Vern, Gen or Doug to do my room, in that order.

Did you see the episode where they stapled artificial flowers to the bathroom wall? --- all the walls were COMPLETELY covered with them! I think they said they used 5000 buds or something like that. OMG..those are going to get wet and dusty... I wouldn't want to be the one to have to clean that bathroom.

Heather replied: Definitely the family room. It is a very large room. Surrounded by all windows. The only wall we have is about 6 feet long. PLUS, we have a hot tub burrowed in the corner. I love having it but it just takes up an odd amount of room so positioning of furniture is hard..not to mention we have an ugly cover on it so Alison doesn't fall in. The floor is tile, so we have an area rug. It is just a decorating mess....

jdkjd replied: Our Kitchen has lime green countertops with pink/peachy cabinets. When we moved in all of the cabinets/countertops in all of the bathrooms were the same. But we have renovated all of the bathrooms.

The Kitchen still looks like something out of Miami Vice. Ick.

Mommieto2Girls replied: I want my bedroom done, I want a romantic getaway, like the zebra stripe wall one or that big canopy beautiful bedroom. Any canopy bedroom will work. I don't care what designer either. As long as it's romantic and beautiful. BUT NO HAY!!! I would probley consider the moss though, as lond as they show me how to take care of it lol

I don't watch often enough to know the names, I just catch it every once in a while when my older DDs watch it. They could name everyone on the show - giggle

Schnoogly replied: Well we were lucky enough to buy a house that had been recently remodeled so all the carpet is new, the walls are white white white, and the kitchen has all new gray stone-like countertops and new white cupboards with glass windows in them. I love our kitchen! But all the white is getting a little old! The only color in our house is the one bathroom I did in blue & white and Iain's room which is moss green with darker green trim and white doors. Our family room is the converted garage and it is big and white and boring. So I'd love to see what Vern would do with it--lots of bright color would be awesome! And I want custom furniture! IMO that's the coolest thing about trading spaces--you can repaint if you hate it but the custom made furniture is yours to keep--they make such cool storage stuff!

NOt a big fan of Doug. ANd ever since Hildi did that Pink circus looking freaky thing with one of her rooms... haven't been much of a fan of her either.

Down hear in Florida (lol) it's another room like the living room, but your not supposed to sit in the living room only the florida room.
Living room is supposed to be the formal room, florida room is where the kids are allowed. At least that was how it was at my grandmas house.

CantWait replied: I'd love to have our bed done, something romantic to get you in the mood but dh might insist on the basement or living room. He seems to think that if no one else can see it, it doesn't matter.

mckayleesmom replied: I watched an awsome one the other day where it was an african american female designer,,I don't know if it was a new or old episode cause I have never seen her,,anyways she did an egyptian style, buddah type room and she hung the bed in the middle of the room with chains so it resembled a magic carpet...I would love to do something like that.

I think im a candidate for a free makeover. ha ha ha ha I know, trading spaces doesn't do that. I don't have the $1000 to go on the show.

mckayleesmom replied: I want to go on that other show,,,What Not TO Wear,,,,,they can throw all my clothes away if they give me 5000 dollars for a makeover and shopping spree...I keep telling my husband to call the show and tell them he has a wife that really needs a makeover,,,and I will pretend that I didn't know he called and I will hide all the clothes I want to keep before they raid my closet to throw them out,,,but I want him to wait till I lose the rest of my baby fat.

No, each house pays $1000. That's why they get upset when they go over their budget, cause they have to make up the difference.

I thought the owners have to pay the 1,000.00. But if the designer goes over budget they the designer has to pay that xtra money spent.
